Yes, we can. So are you going to send birth certificate, marriage certificate, PCC...anything else?

Doesnt the NVC send us a form telling us what documents they want us to send with DS-230 and i-864?

I guess. But do we have to wait for it? Can we not just send documents with this cover sheet? The barcode and case # are there right?

Not yet. Only my OAS bill was generated so I paid that and I'll send AOS package. My husband is suppose to be getting PCC tomorrow and then send the entire DS-230 package to me. I'll send DS-230 package to NVC after DS-230 bill is generated/paid. Here is the list I've for DS-230 package:

0. Cover Letter

1. Bar coded sheet (you get from website after paying fee)

2. Completed and signed form DS-230 Part I by the beneficiary

3. Completed and unsigned form DS-230 Part II by the beneficiary

4. Photocopy of the beneficiary's passport biographic data page

5. Original beneficiary’s birth certificate

6. Original beneficiary’s and petitioner’s marriage certificate

7. Original police certificate(s) of the beneficiary from local passport office and commisioner office

8. Two passport-sized photographs (2X2 inches) of the beneficiary (Write down NVC Case# and beneficiary’s full name and date of birth on the back side of both photographs lightly)

For DS-3032, did you send it via email or mail? How long did it take them to receive it? Just wondering when I should be expecting next bill to be generated. I emailed DS-3032 two times now and I sent a mail yesterday which should have reached there by now.

Since I am working with a lawyer, I signed another form earlier , I believe G-28, that says my lawyer will be agent throughout process. I think that is why I could bypass that step.

OH mann! I swear I honestly did not remember that. I think this is the 3rd time you've mentioned that you're working with lawyer (the same one who told you that you won't hear back anything till march ;) ). Sorry about that! I am getting old already :(

Good news! The automated services still said that no case number was assigned. So I decided to talk to the operator today and got thru after few minutes wait. She corrected my phone number and took both of our email addresses. She then politely gave me the case number. Yipppeee!!!

My 2 cents... tell you're lawyer you're willing to take the risk of delay and send out the packages. Be sure to be there with the lawyer when 'sends' the information. Maybe you can point him to this forum? or maybe he is not telling you something?

I have a lawyer too. Trying to convince him to send our packages but dead set against it, saying we have to wait for a list of stuff from NVC!! NVC operators said to go ahead but on the online instructions it specifically says to not proceed prior to NVC authorization, but I see on VJ most ppl just sending in their packets without further wait! So what do we do? Wait for NVC instructions or convince lawyer to mail? Ben and Ash, what is ur lawyer saying to u?

My 2 cents... tell you're lawyer you're willing to take the risk of delay and send out the packages. Be sure to be there with the lawyer when 'sends' the information. Maybe you can point him to this forum? or maybe he is not telling you something?

I agree. I will wait till Friday and come Friday I am willing to take the risk. I am even willing to sign him a letter saying so. NO more waiting!! I am getting tired of the whole waiting game! Our bills are paid, so I don't get why we need to wait!

WHat did u mean there is something he is not telling me?

Ben and Ash, what is ur lawyer's take on this?

Maybe some new rule that got introduced during 'green' process that we non-lawyer people don't know, that's what I mean by "he's not telling something".

HMMM... I don't see what the big secret is  This whole going green had to happen just when we got to NVC after 7 1/2 wait at USCIS  Definitely not fun and has our lawyer confused with outdated info!

Ben and Ash, get in here! We need ur input!

Hey guys..sorry I have a busy day at work today. Anyway, my lawyer is the same way he says to wait until we hear from the NVC. But when I spoke to the live operator she said I can send it over. I need to wait for my wife to send the PCC and birth certificate from Mumbai, so as soon as that gets to me I am going to send it to my lawyer and he will send it in. I also need my 2008 tax info. My lawyer seemed to be ok with sending everything as soon as my wife's info arrives here.

WHat did u mean there is something he is not telling me?
