Anyone get I-130 approved 1st week of march?

Hello Everyone,

It was interesting to read thru this topic and how everyone is involved as a community. Well I was approved in 2nd week March 11th to be precise. I have called NVC through my speed dial almost every day. Yet, no case number has been assigned. Looking at some of my friend's timelines here, it seems that the normal process time is 10days. With that, I hope that this Monday/Tuesday I will get case number assigned.

Sep 25, 2008 - Mailed out I-130 application to VSC

Sep 28, 2008 - Received by USCIS

Oct 01, 2008 - Notice date

Oct 07, 2008 - Touched

Dec 22, 2008 - Called USCIS and talk to Rep - No changes I was told

Dec 22, 2008 - Received email on application transferred to CSC

Dec 23, 2008 - Touched {transferred to California}

Dec 30, 2008 - Touched {Received in California and pending}

Jan 02, 2009 - Touched {Pending in Office}

Mar 11, 2009 - I-130 Approved {Email notification}

Mar 13, 2009 - Touched {Same approval text, but weird that it was touched after Mar 11th}

Welcome misr! Yah, it took time for ppl to get case # assigned and I believe most eager people like us called everyday I hope you get yours soon. Have you started gathering documents for I-864 and I-230 packages?

Actually I was talking about the email to make the payment sorry for confusion...I was thinking it would take at least a week from the date our petition gets entered into NVC.

Hello all NVC VJers approved in early March

I called NVC today and spoke to live operator. She said that it takes about a week for them to send out their packets to us..so I guess we will only hear something towards of end of this week or next week.

Good Morning.... Just wanted to update the March approvals that I finally got a NVC case # assinged. After all, the Monday-operator was not joking when she said they have our file and it is being processed. Yeyyy!!!!

Ben and Ash, what did you mean it takes one week to send our packets? You mean the envelop they metioned in our email the one that is marked DOCUMENTS ONLY? My lawyer said that's what we're waiting on and as soon as we have it we can mail them all of us docs. DS 230 (part I and II), I 864 and requested papers.

I paid both bills online after receiving the combo email from them on Wednesday but when I called NVC they told me my paper bill is not generated ...What did they mean by that? Is that the packet they will be sending including the bills and envelop marked DOCS ONLY via REGULAR MAIL?

Found out K3 in AP on 03/10/09 and therefore decided to pursue CR1

Ben and Ash, do you keep getting the combo bill to pay from NVC over and over again eventhough you paid??

Did NVC tell u your paper bill was not yet generated? If so, what do u supposed they meant by that?

Also one more q. for you, Do you have any idea when we might get that envelop marked DOCS ONLY that the email stated is enclosed with the combo bill (it was actually not enclosed, lawyer's assistant said NVC would have to send it in the mail)...

Yes, I did and I'm ready for the next move. I told my wife to get the Police Clearance and having already filed my tax returns for 2008, I also went online to request the tax transcripts as well.

I will definitely ask you and others on how to proceed after I get the case assigned. Looks like the very next step is to get email address registered so that I can pay NVC bill online. Just excited... can't wait....

I don't know. Since I paid on Saturday (before noon definitely), it may show up as paid tomorrow or Tuesday. Either case, it's two trips to UPS
