Still no case number.. my husband called and he was informed that they already received our documents but there's no case number yet.... GRR!

Still no case number.. my husband called and he was informed that they already received our documents but there's no case number yet.... GRR!

It seems like the steps of NVC which used to take 2-3 days or a week (getting NVC case #, generating DS-3032 bill, AOS bill, IV bill, etc) are all now taking 2-3 weeks. It sucks. I know I should appreciate the fact that I got approved so fast. But what's the use if everything else is going to take 5 times longer, at the end, it all evens out. I also really want things to get moving fast.

If you compare your and my timeline per NOA2, you should be getting NVC case # tomorrow. Of course we do come from two different USCIS centers.

Good luck to all brave people willing to wait out this long and tough journey..

Champi, once you get ur case number - what's the next step? Are you going to send the DS3032 thru mail and email?

I just called NVC today to give them my and my husband's email address. That is the first thing you should do if you've easy access to computer/emails. She also strictly told me not to send anything till they ask for it. So I am not sending DS3032 right now. Lot of people have recommended sending email as soon as you get case #. Some ppl suggest to wait. Let's see if I hear anything back from them in a week or so... I'll decide then.

Has anyone received I-130 approval during the 1st week of march? Ours was approved March 2nd and I want to see if anyone got anything from NVC yet or know how long it will take.

Hey Champi,

Did you give them your email before or how did they know your email address?

First thing I did when I got my NVC case # through AVR is called them again, talked to operator and gave our email addresses. In fact, they'll ask you for it before you even say it. I hope this helps.

I also gave them my email address but they misspelled it but luckily they knew my lawyers email address. Anyway, I got the 2 bills today via email and I paid it. I guess we need to wait 3 days now for it to get paid.

Hello all NVC VJers approved in early March :)

I called NVC today and spoke to live operator. She said that it takes about a week for them to send out their packets to us..so I guess we will only hear something towards of end of this week or next week.

WOW..awesome..congratz..I hope we all hear something from NVC soon.

Good Morning.... Just wanted to update the March approvals that I finally got a NVC case # assinged. After all, the Monday-operator was not joking when she said they have our file and it is being processed. Yeyyy!!!!

Ben and Ash, what did you mean it takes one week to send our packets? You mean the envelop they metioned in our email the one that is marked DOCUMENTS ONLY? My lawyer said that's what we're waiting on and as soon as we have it we can mail them all of us docs. DS 230 (part I and II), I 864 and requested papers.

I paid both bills online after receiving the combo email from them on Wednesday but when I called NVC they told me my paper bill is not generated ...What did they mean by that? Is that the packet they will be sending including the bills and envelop marked DOCS ONLY via REGULAR MAIL?

03/18/2009 : AOS bill PAID and cover sheet printed

xx/xx/2009 : AOS package sent to NVC

xx/xx/2009 : AOS package received by NVC

03/18/2009 : IV bill PAID

xx/xx/2009 : DS-230 sent to NVC

Approved 03/05/09 after 7 1/2 long months @ VSC!!!! OMGGGGGG LUCKY DAY!!

03/06/09 touch- our files were sent to NVC and received that same day; found out NVC case #s for both I 129F and I 130 upon calling them on 03/09/09

Found out K3 in AP on 03/10/09 and therefore decided to pursue CR1

04/20/09: WOOHOO CR1 already out of AP; DS 230/AOS accepted with no RFEs!! Sign in failed on NVC payment site.

04/21/09: MAGIC CASE COMPLETE @ 4:30 P.M. THANK U GOD!!!

04/27/09: Hubby passed his medical; CR1 interview assigned for June 17th By NVC; but changed to MAY 12th after emailing embassy on 05/05/09 )
