Anyone get I-130 approved 1st week of march?

Hey I got some updates for everyone. On AVR this morning they said that I have missing documents, I knew it was the PCC from police district office. The operator did however say that we dont need to send it into the NVC but we only have to show it at the interview. They said they should be going ahead and completing the case in a day or 2 and the PCC must be shown at the interview. That is somewhat of a relief.

They said the next possible time for an interview will be in June but they wont schedule until 2nd week of May. I guess we all might have to lose about 1 month because of that. Look how much difference one week made. If we got approved last week, we might have been assigned an interview already.

What to do though, we got this far right?When I started in December I thought my wife couldnt come here until December 2009.

Great news Ben and Ash. You know when we started I though it would take around a year. I hope my hubby will be home by August now :)

do you think that means anyone whose case is complete before the 2nd week of May will get a June interview? Or is that just for your consulate ?

Hey I got some updates for everyone. On AVR this morning they said that I have missing documents, I knew it was the PCC from police district office. Hey gixbr, Yeah I hope we get on final review soon. The AVR says " NVC has received your documents on April 7, 2009, please allow.....

I think the NVC either lost my package or its on the bottom of a pile..I dont know its taking so long..

Sorry Ben and Ash sorry to hear that, but what does the AVR say to you? I think like mine it's not under final review yet so they just dont have any updates

You should be getting your case completed soon too, same as I hope for mine :)

I would say that if your case is complete by 1st week of May, then good chances of June Interview. There are people whose case completed on 8th or 10th April and they didn't get a May Interview. Also, it is very much dependent on the consulate where beneficiary will interview. My case completed on 13th April and I am praying very hard that we get a June interview...

I would say that if your case is complete by 1st week of May, then good chances of June Interview. There are people whose case completed on 8th or 10th April and they didn't get a May Interview. Also, it is very much dependent on the consulate where beneficiary will interview. My case completed on 13th April and I am praying very hard that we get a June interview...

Thanks for the info about the interviews.

It only took a week (thankfully not 3-4) for my taxes to get processed. Should have the transcript by next week. Hopefully by then the DS230 will have been reviewed and we will complete by the first week of May.

Congrats Ben and Ash :dance: This leaves me from the bunch of ppl who sent their docs to NVC around the same time :crying: Not fair this AP thing :crying::crying::crying: But hanging in there and hoping it will wrap up by the end of the month so we can have our case complete. One thing gives me solace is that either way we are most likely going to get a June interview for CR1 unless it's done in time for the K3 interview and we can flip...Keeping the faith :innocent:

Also congrats to anyone else who got case complete :star: Can't wait to hear those magic words soon and for our file to be shipped to Leb.

BTW, out of curiosity, how did you answer question 22, "In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States," in the DS-230 form? For my husband, we put something related to his last job (hotel management). I'm just curious if we should just leave this vague and write "To be determined or not sure yet"?

And what about question 34, "Were you assisted in completing this Application?" We wrote my name as I assisted my husband in completing the form. Is this okay?

BTW, out of curiosity, how did you answer question 22, "In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States," in the DS-230 form? We put Information Technology since my husband is in IT ffield. Not sure if vague answers are ok. But definitely better than leaving blank as most people on VJ suggested not to leave anything blank.

Even though I practically filled out my husband's application, I did not put my name there. I don't think it matters much how you answer this question. You should be fine. :)

We're ready to send the DS-230 package this week. I'm just waiting for one of the PPCs from my husband which I'm supposed to get via FedEx by Wednesday.

got the 2007 transcript in the mail and my name was spelled wrong!

i have great luck. got worried about the 08 one being spelled wrong so i figured out how to get an internet fax and now have the transcript!

sending it out tomorrow. DS 230 should arrive this week.

i think we really will complete by the end of the month now!!!

can't wait to catch up with yall :)

5/7/09 NVC operator: canadian police certificate not needed, file will be pulled to look for passport photos (15 bus. days)

5/14/09 AVR: checklist letter response received on 5/13; 5/16/09 AVR: checklist letter response received on 5/15

5/19/09 login to NVC site failed!

5/20/09 CASE COMPLETE!!!!

CITIZENSHIP 06-19-2013 Sent N400 Application (Chicago Lockbox)


06-21-2013 USCIS received my N400 application


06-25-2013 USCIS mailed the NOA1


06-28-2013 USCIS mailed the Biometrics appt


07-01-2013 Received NOA1 and Biometrics appt letter

08-27-2013 Interview/Test passed


10-07-2013 Oath taking


IR-5 MOM AND DAD


02-20-2014 mailed I-130 for my parents


02-24-2014 USCIS received the I-130 docs


03-17-2014 USCIS approved the petition (took 15 days, weekdays only)


03-25-2014 USCIS shipped the approved case to NVC


04-02-2014 NVC received the papers (6 days from the approval date)


05-01-2014 Got the 2 case numbers. (21 days)


05-07-2014 Got an email & paid the AOS fee (4 days); DS-261(Choice of Agent) sent


05-09-2014 AOS status "PAID" (2 days from the date the was paid)
