Hey Champi,

Dont lose heart yet, I think your case review will be over by April 15th.

Anyway, just get all your 2008 Tax documents ready incase they do request..

NVC received our documents yesterday! Champi - we're two days behind you :)

Cool :) Join the crowd and cheer for all of us to get completed fast w/o RFE.

Fingers crossed. My husband had a couple of driving tickets. We included court reports - I hope that is enough for them. Apart from that I was very meticulous with our docs. Please - no RFE!!!

I just found out I am a potential candidate for RFE. I had not included anything for 2008 taxes. I just called operator and she said they're going to start requesting 2008 tax returns for everyone whose case is still under review after April 15th. This sucks!!!! :(

ROC Journey

Sent I-751 : 4/5/11 (USPS Next Day)

Biometrics: 6/6/11 (date on letter was 5/9/11)

NOA: 10/18/11 - Received letter stating I-751 APPROVED

Thanks guyz. The lady I talked to was so rude, if I had talked to her one more time, she would have made me cry for sure. I tried to tell her that I've sent all my paystubs from last 6 months and employee later fro 2008, wouldn't that be sufficient and prove. But even without listening to me properly, she kept uttering just one thing "Ma'am, we'll be requiring 2008 taxes for cases that are in review after April 15. It takes2 to 4 weeks. blah blah blah". I guess it's not her fault either, that's what they were probably told to say so.

Meanwhile, I need to find out what my accountant is upto and see how fast I can get tax extension out of door. Better be prepared. But I really do hope we're out of it by 15th. That's only 5 business days from today.... mann!!

I paid the IV Bill today. I'll call to find out whether it's a real RFE or they are just waiting for the DS-230.

I'd sent my I-864 already since I hadn't got the IV Bill. Today AVR said it's been reviewed and I got an RFE. So maybe you guys will get yours reviewed quickly. At least the ds3032 got accepted today as well to balance out the bad news lol

Thanks again Champi. Right on time with the 10 days.

Should I wait to get the info or just pay the IV Bill since it's available? I guess since I have an RFE anyway I may as well wait.

sattva,

Do you know what the RFE is about? Could it be false RFE because they're waiting for your DS-230 package? Lot of people get false RFE after reviewing I-864 package because they're waiting on DS-230. Also, I think you should pay IV bill and get that out of way. It does take a day or two to show up as PAID. So that way, if it is false RFE, you're ready to send off everything, right? Good luck :)

Hey gixbr,

Thats great it was a false RFE, I'm sure that made you nervous at first.

Im sure it shouldnt be too long until your case is complete. I hope the rest of us get the same news soon.

Hi Everybody, I wasn't approved in March but my case only got to NVC on March, so can I stay here? :D

My husband didn't have the AOS packet right away so we are a little behind, but today I just called NVC and got that message you dont wanna hear: "The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete..."

Our AOS packet got there on April 1st and the DS-230 packet got there only yesterday, so I'm really hoping this would be a false RFE, really really hope.

I'm waiting on my husband to wake up so he can call NVC and try to figure this.

champi, you did good by waiting and sending only one mail, I think they process it a lot faster.

Ok, new update!!

My husband just called and they operator said they are waiting for the DS 230 part I and II. So I guess it's a false RFE right?? :) I hope so.

The operator said the AOS was fine, although she didn't sound so sure.

So if it's nothing can I hope that my case will be complete by next week?

I second that Ben and Ash. Speedy completion, no RFE! :D Idea of going on protest in front of their office did cross my mind just a few seconds ago....but that would be too extreme ;)

I am so happy to see more people waiting the same way I am :D Good luck guyz!!!

Bad news... called NVC and found out that they didn't accept just the regular copy of the 2008 taxes I just filed. Called the IRS and somehow they just received the tax return today so it will take 3-4 weeks for it to be processed and until then I can't get or even request a transcript. NVC says they will only take the 2008 transcript.

So frustrating. I can't believe it.
