I'd sent my I-864 already since I hadn't got the IV Bill. Today AVR said it's been reviewed and I got an RFE. So maybe you guys will get yours reviewed quickly. At least the ds3032 got accepted today as well to balance out the bad news lol

Thanks again Champi. Right on time with the 10 days.

Should I wait to get the info or just pay the IV Bill since it's available? I guess since I have an RFE anyway I may as well wait.

I'm getting so impatient...I keep getting the allow 2-4 weeks from the NVC live operator.

Yeah, I guess the best thing to do is call them everyday and hope to find something out. Im suprised a few of us havent heard anything yet. I hope at least by next week we all know what the NVC says about our packages.

yes we gave them our e-mail address and receive everything by e-mail. I think maybe the letter got lost somehow. the IV bill still says not invoiced. It will be 10 days tomorrow from the e-mailed version so maybe that will come in soon. Otherwise we will send the hard copy again.

Thanks for the info!

congrats you guys!

i can't believe i am still waiting for the stupid IV Bill. they've received the AOS.

my husband didn't send the ds3032 certified so we have no way of knowing whether it is lost or what. we got automated responses to the e-mailed ds3032 but still no info on whether it is accepted :(

Hey sattva,

Acceptance of DS-3032 usually takes about 10 days. We emailed and mailed DS-3032. Our mail DS3032 got accepted faster than email one, maybe because we sent mailed DS-3032 via UPS Next-Day. Our mailed DS-3032 got accepted on 3/31/09. For our emailed DS3032, we recieved an response back on 4/3/2009 about OAS and IV fee being paid (not sure if this is same as accepted). Did you call them and provide your and your spouse's email addresses? This way, you get things in email and don't have to wait for snail-mail.

Hi Everybody, I wasn't approved in March but my case only got to NVC on March, so can I stay here? :D

My husband didn't have the AOS packet right away so we are a little behind, but today I just called NVC and got that message you dont wanna hear: "The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete..."

Our AOS packet got there on April 1st and the DS-230 packet got there only yesterday, so I'm really hoping this would be a false RFE, really really hope.

I'm waiting on my husband to wake up so he can call NVC and try to figure this.

champi, you did good by waiting and sending only one mail, I think they process it a lot faster.

Ok, new update!!

My husband just called and they operator said they are waiting for the DS 230 part I and II. So I guess it's a false RFE right?? :) I hope so.

The operator said the AOS was fine, although she didn't sound so sure.

So if it's nothing can I hope that my case will be complete by next week?

I'm getting so impatient...I keep getting the allow 2-4 weeks from the NVC live operator.

Trust me, I am there. I have been nervous, impatient, worried, and the whole 9 yards since yesterday. But then someone in NVC forum said something that made sense to me. When they are reviewing our case, generally RFE appears early in the review cycle. For instance, if there is an RFE, more than likely, we'll hear about it in a week. But if couple of days goes by with RFE, then chances are good that our case will complete w/o issues. So, now I am hanging on to that thread of hope and keeping myself positive. I feel lucky because my husband is not as stressed as I am and he keeps me laughing and happy as much as he can during this time :)

Sure gixbr :) You can also Join a thread in NVC forum about waiting for case completion, there you'll find some information on people's experience... You know, I am still not sure if I did right thing by waiting... now I think, at least I would have known that my AOS package was ok or not if I had sent it earlier... Anyway, what's done is done. I really do hope that your RFE is false. Good luck... Let's hope things get rolling for us soon...

sattva,

Do you know what the RFE is about? Could it be false RFE because they're waiting for your DS-230 package? Lot of people get false RFE after reviewing I-864 package because they're waiting on DS-230. Also, I think you should pay IV bill and get that out of way. It does take a day or two to show up as PAID. So that way, if it is false RFE, you're ready to send off everything, right? Good luck :)

I second that Ben and Ash. Speedy completion, no RFE! :D Idea of going on protest in front of their office did cross my mind just a few seconds ago....but that would be too extreme ;)

I am so happy to see more people waiting the same way I am :D Good luck guyz!!!

Hi waiting4approval,

Lot of people have also been waiting for an email/mail from NVC about IV bill before paying it online. There have been many cases which were delayed because they paid IV bill before it was generated. Do you know if your DS-3032 is accpeted or not? If your DS-3032 is accepted then I think it is safe to pay the bill. I have paid the bill the day after my DS-3032 got accepted but before I got IV bill in email. (see the dates between 3/30 and 3/31 in my timeline). I have verified with NVC operator that both bills are showing up as PAID in their system. However, if your DS-3032 has not been accepted yet, then I strongly recommend against paying the bill. By the way, sending DS-3032 is not same as NVC accepting DS-3032. It takes on average 10 days for NVC to process DS-3032 once they receive it via mail/email.

if you can pay it online, just do it. the invoice number is the same for both fees. that was my experience.

Dated since 2004, 10/22/2008 Married in NY, wife left the country, returns on 01/06/2009 as a visitor (granted stay until July 2009)

01/15/2009 Sent I-130 package for CR1 to Chicago Lock Box, 01/19/2009 USCIS Chicago received the application

01/26/2009 USCIS sent out NOA1, 01/28/2009 Moneygrams Order cashed

02/24/2009 Case is in Vermont Processing Center (told by the USCIS by calling the free phone line)

03/02/2009 NOA2 mailed, application approved!!!! (47 days since we mailed I-130 package)

03/05/2009 NVC Received Case / Case number assigned

03/12/2009 DS-3032 / AOS fee bill generated and e-mailed to us, 03/12/2009 I e-mailed and snail mailed DS-3032 and paid AOS fee bill online

03/18/2009 NVC received DS-3032 and it was entered into the system (I never received email confirmation)

03/20/2009 IV Bill generated and I paid online

03/30/2009 Sent I-864 package to NVC, 03/31/2009 Sent DS-230 package to NVC

04/01/2009 IV fee shows unpaid, 04/03/2009 documents are under review (confirmed by operator)

04/06/2009 IV Fee finally shows PAID, 04/07/2009 AVR system says that IV bill has been processed, "instruction package" received by email

04/08/2009 AVR system says "NVC received your documents on April 3...", our case is under review...

04/10/2009 RFE issued for DS-230 Part I, but AOS accepted

04/14/2009 found out the exact issue with DS-230 and sent the response using Chris Parker's RFE shortcut and later in the day received an email checklist for RFE

04/15/2009 RFE response arrived to the NVC facility, 04/20/2009 RFE response received by NVC

It takes on average 10 days for NVC to process DS-3032 once they receive it via mail/email.

hmm okay I will wait until they accept the DS-3032 or generate the IV bill.. I dun want to rush through things that would delay my case.

oceansea.. I will wait until they either accept DS-3032 or generate the bill.. I want them to take atelast one step before I take two steps :D

Fingers crossed. My husband had a couple of driving tickets. We included court reports - I hope that is enough for them. Apart from that I was very meticulous with our docs. Please - no RFE!!!

I just found out I am a potential candidate for RFE. I had not included anything for 2008 taxes. I just called operator and she said they're going to start requesting 2008 tax returns for everyone whose case is still under review after April 15th. This sucks!!!! :(
