My medical exam is fast approaching but I have cough and cold now...Is it ok if I will have my medical exam even though I have cough and cold? Your reply is very much appreciated... Thank you and God bless us all...

IMO, No! they might suspect that you have TB because of the cough.

dont worry they use the xray results for that not just a cold's cough.

i have read a couple or three stories here that they went under sputum or skin test because they went on their medical with cough. sorry i can't remember their names but if i were you try to get enough rest , drink plenty of citrus drinks, relax and pray :)

Good Luck and hope that your cough will be gone before your medical.

yong husband ko may ubo nong nagpamedical, okay naman ang result ng medical nya. Sabi ng mom ko uminom daw ng sterilized milk for a week and more on the day of the medical. Ewan ko kung effective, but it worked for my husband.

Another example of why you should plan on having your medical at least 3 weeks early. You could wait until your cough/cold goes away. People "may"have had to do the 8 week sputum test because they had possible signs of TB from colds and congestion.

Went to my medical with cough and colds and it all tunred out okay. Refer to the following link for the thread. Good luck. A tip for fast recovery though would be to take 1000mg of ascorbic acid and cough and cold meds, fruits and lots of water. Restful sleep helps a lot too. Hope this helps!

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

i agree :thumbs: i had a prob in my medical (not related to cough or TB) but good thing that i went 3 weeks before my interview or else my interview date would have been moved. Again, i hope everything will turn out good on your medical. :)
