Hello VJers,

Can anyone give me an idea on how long would it take to request a copy of your Income Tax Return from the IRS? We lost some past copies so we are wondering how long to get another copy??? We are almost there but our case was put on halt at NVC due to this.

I do not know now but before they used to fax it. I got my IRS transcripts via fax when I was applying for citizenship. Try, you need to be near fax machine.

u could call them up .

u will get it within 7 working days.

when my hubby called them and asked for a copy they sent it through fax in like 15 mins.

My husband just called IRS and requested for transcripts. The representative told him to wait for 10 days but he received it after 5 working days by mail..

I called INS for my IRS transcripts last thursday, and I received this monday. Less than 4 business days. Good luck.

I went to the local IRS office and asked to order transcripts.

They printed out the last 3 years on the spot. It took about 2 minutes.

4 business days for the transcripts. they are really efficient unlike some of the other government organizations ;-)
