We just got an RFE at our interview. :(

My timeline:

11-20-2008: AOS (I-485 & I-130) Package sent.

11-24-2008: Package received at 1.36pm and signed by JCHYBA.

12-04-2008: AOS Check was cashed!

12-05-2008: I-130 Money Order was cashed!

12-08-2008: Received my 3 NOA's and letter for biometrics

12-19-2008: Received RFE and another letter for biometrics

12-22-2008: Sent response to RFE back

12-26-2008: Biometrics appointment! -canceled due to holidays-

01-02-2009: Response to RFE received and case is resumed

01-13-2009: Second biometrics appointment - DONE YAY!

01-26-2009: APPROVAL of EAD!!!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

02-04-2009: Received EAD card in mail and applied for SSN - Picked up SSN day after!

02-06-2009: Passed written test, got driver's permit!

02-10-2009: Received my SSC

03-20-2009: Interview! - RFE

04-14-2009: Brought the requested document to the immigration office.

05-02-2009: Received our 3rd RFE.

05-11-2009: Brought the requested document to the immigration office.

05-27-2009: Received green card YAY Thank you God

04-04-2011: Sent in I-751 Removal of conditions

07-08-2011: Approved!

07-14-2011: Received Permanent Resident Card! WHOOOOO HOOOO we are done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you GOD!

I too got an RFE at my AOS interview. It was all medical related- the Doctor who did my physical in Canada made an error and it was fixed and faxed to the Consulate during my K3 interview.

When I got to the AOS interview, they had both the fixed and not fixed copy and told me to go for another physical and drop off the results- just the Doctor's exam which took all of 30 seconds. Seriously- he looked in my eyes with a flashlight and checked my knee reflexes.

After waiting several months, I made an infopass and they couldn't help me. There was a rush to get Citizenship papers done and my file hadn't been looked at.

I kept waiting and got another RFE to go get a TB skin test- not sure why because I had a chest X Ray but I went and got it done and dropped off the results and waited again.

It did work out great though- those RFE's pushed us over the 2 year anniversary and I got the 10 year card instead of the 2 year.

hello, how long you had been waiting before you get your 10yr gc?

cause my situation got an rfe during interview too and until now iam still waiting for the approval it will be 1yr this month mar since i interviewed..and our 2nd wedding anniversary is coming on nov.

what do you think of my case?

CAN I ASK ?HOW LONG YOU GOT YOUR 10 YEAR GC ?WHEN DID THEY SEND BEFORE YOUR 2ND WEDDING ANNIVERSARY OR AFTER? I ASSUMED THAT YOU DID NOT GET YOUR 2YR GC CAUSE YOUR 2ND WEDDING ANNIVERSARY ALREADY REACHED BEFORE THEY SENT YOU THE GC.

Thanks for asking Goldfee... Just got the 'WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' letter. yay.

Also got the I-130 approval letter (addressed to my husband).

It's cool that instead of a I-485 "approval" notice, they send you a "Welcome" letter.

I hope the card gets here this week, not in the next one. It must feel great to have it on your hands.

Everybody who gets an RFE seem to have received their answer or letter within the 14 days.... 15 days have passed since I brought in the info and I still didn't hear anything... and my case online is still not updated. I'm starting to get really worried and scared now....

My timeline:

I would not worry until the amount of time passes the processing time stated on the RFE. Even though it usually won't take as long as they say it could offices get backlogged all the time and some are more efficient than others.
