hi, i think this is the forum for this question

My fiance made in 2008 19.4k a year he works part-time, so to be on the safe side his father will be co-sponsoring me. But here is the thing

If the co-sponsor (his father) had filed for bankruptcy, can his dad still fill out the form and be my co-sponsor?

he makes above 125% for his household and me.

We are concern about the bankruptcy, did anyone had the same situation or know how will this affect us?

I honestly don't know chica; but I would assume if he is bankrupt (sorry about that by the way) you should get another cosponsor

Bankruptcy should not be a problem, they do not do credit checks

it's about proving income, not credit score. If he has enough income he will be accepted.
