Removing Conditions

Hello,

We are applying to remove my husband's conditions at the end of this month (assuming we have our acts together and all the paperwork is available LOL

Question: we have tickets to travel outside the US for two weeks in May. His green card does not expire until after we return to the US (late June).

Does anyone see any issues with this? We will still have his valid green card so I assume we are ok.

you should be fine. Make sure you take your NOA1 with you just in case, because sometimes some people like to cause us trouble for no reason. I travelled with my green card barely still valid and it worked out just fine (I think I had 1-2 weeks till expiration)

Yes, as long as the green card is still valid when you return you should be fine. The only possible issue I can see occurring is if you receive a biometrics appointment for when you are away. They seem to arrive about a month after the I-751 is received so you should be fine. You might find that the appointment is for while you are away, but if you have the biometrics letter in hand you will probably be able to do a walk-in biometrics before you go. If you haven't received the ASC before you leave you might want to have someone watching your mail and have a way to contact you if the ASC letter does arrive. This person might then be able to re-schedule your biometrics for after your return. You should have no issues, however, with returning as long as the green card is still valid.
