Received a letter today from the Supervisor of the Customer Service Office. They "understand" our frustration and concern and are looking into our case. Whoohoo. Background invesitgation Fact Sheet was included to advise how they are trying to help thousands of petitions that are backlogged. Well, at least we have not been denied, lost or otherwise on someone's desk who doesn't know what to do with the file, lol.

Have a wonderful weekend. Remember that we love our SOs, miss them and this is and will continue to be worth all the emotional stress of missing them. Besides, they treat us and we treat them like honeymooners every time we get 2gether :luv::luv:

thats great at least u heard something!!!!! is better than be left in the cold lol

I am so sorry Sara and the rest of you who have been waiting so long. Completely unacceptable!!!

But how do you cope with waiting, waiting and waiting so more and seeing other people getting approved in no time at all?

I really hope and pray that all of you will get your approvals very soon.

i spoke with my attorney today, he said that we should not be in security checks for so long, a k1 fiancee visa is an non immigrant visa, and according to the laws, only immigrant visas are subject of long securty checks. it's just so unfair what they are doing to us. here we are, waiting for this papers, while our other half is waiting half a world away suffering, anxiously waiting hoping that one day we can be together

hi everyone....add me on the list..ours is already 1 year, also MARCH2008....K1 visa...why?SECURITY CHECK...called them.... the answer? WAIT...still at CSC...whew, seems that 1 year is not yet a long time to wait or not enough time of waiting for them! i see hope everytime i hear of someone being approved, but of course a little envious.. :crying:

yes, let's just pray something great will happen to all of us very soon...and hope we can say the waiting is over! i'm becoming hopeless too, our K1 is still hanging for a year at the USCIS....the last time we called them they said we have to wait until april 29, which is the 180th day of the security check, as per stated in their letter that it may take 180 days. i dont understand why it has to take until the 180th day, why they were not able to do it on the 99th day at least (of course, i'm just hoping). we're not even sure if there will be result by then. sigh...sigh...sigh!we wrote the USCIS a letter last week, after we called, hope we can hear back from them, if not, maybe we'll ask help from congressman.

if ever we dont hear anything positive, if my fiance and i decide to get married, and upgrade our application to K3, will it make any difference? so CONFUSED!!! sigh sigh sigh! :crying:

i often wonder about that when i read the 6 months+ thread or this one. if you applied for a k3/cr1 would the wait be the same?

i'm so sorry all of you are having to go through this and i hope there is a resolution for you all soon.

Well the start of another new week. Here's to all of us still standing in line after a year :(

The weather here in Texas is wonderful warm but very very windy. The garden is growing

really good and hope to harvest by the end of April. Hopefully we hear something by the

end of June from USCIS or back to Canada for me.

Praying for everyone stuck here.
