Is my lawyer right?

Ok here is my question. I asked my lawyer if it was possible to change my address to where his office would receive all mail about our case ( I am in a location where i can not easily get mail). He said it does not make a difference because since he is my represenative he will also be mailed a copy. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, i never received a hard copy in the mail for my NOA1 and my lawyer said that happens quite often. Also, is there anything else sent by mail and will my lawyer also receive it? Thanks

Yes, this tends to be the case, the lawyer attaches a G-28 to the petition, this gets things like NOA1 and NOA2 sent to the lawyer.

How about the NVC? Will they also mail him all info?
Yep! Though for K-1 NVC only mails out a letter stating that the petition is on it's way to the consulate. In some cases NVC may send the lawyer packet 3/4 too.

But the 3/4 packets I can simply download right? Do i need the original copies they will send me? I will not be able to receive mail until mid august, thats why i am worried?
Yes you can get most of 3/4 off the embassy website.

Only thing in the packet that is needed is the invitation letter for the interview.

'Packet 3' is normally sent to the beneficiary but you will have to ask your lawyer to be certain.

Each Embassy can be very different in how they handle the information/interview packets.

Please see the PI Regional forum for instructions specific to Manilla.

Shouldn't your lawyer handle the packet 3 paperwork for you? Ours is in the process of arranging all our packet 3 paperwork to send direct to the embassy.
