Glen Beck is the man!

 You repugs are a riot. Worrying about the debt now, eh?

Since before you were born, son. Unlike the dems, we can call the leaders in Congress, or in the White House idiots when they meet the definition of idiots!

Some of you repubs are the quintessential history revisionists.

Let's take a look at the national debt over the years under the different Administrations.

Good lawdy the Right Wing Media has you guys so deep in their delusions, you don't know which way is up. :jest:

I was not real happy about the way the Bush administration handled the budget. I was not real happy when Clinton gave Dole the Medal of Freedom for "saving" social security. I have no delusions, unlike many of my friends on the left and on the right.

Ok, so looking at the real facts and figures on the national debt under the different administrations since WWII, which party was more fiscally conservative? (hint: it's not the party you belong to)

You mean it's not the Democrats? I am a registered Democrat, after all.

$200,000 for a gang-tattoo-removal program is ridiculous, even if it helps prevent crime.

well, this one is #######. i don't know if tattoos directly instigate crimes.

they should just tattoo long sleeves and pants and shirts over these folks, it would be cheaper.

Well, it actually can. Getting initiated into a gang generally means getting tattoos of the gang. If this person leaves the gang later, it doesn't make they are safe. As long as they continue to have a gang tattoos, they may be targeted and killed by rival gangs.

Depending on what the person does for work, covering the tattoo may not always be possible.

And since you brought up the topic of revisionist history, here is a little homework for ya:

http://www.umich.edu/~lawrace/vote.htm

:jest: ...talk about a wild tangent.

Let's keep this thread focused on federal spending.

That's why it's homework, for another debate, another day!

They should be. Obama spent more money in 8 weeks than Bush did in 8 years.

...after a major rise in outlays this year, due to the stimulus package, federal spending as a share of the gross domestic product is projected to fall back to twenty-two per cent by 2013, which represents a rise of just one per cent over last year’s figure.

I think Islam will allow me a tattoo or two if it will keep me from committing crimes.

I would not be too happy with that number either, since revenues have historically been averaging between eighteen and nineteen percent of GDP. You can check that number for me, but I do believe it's correct.
