I love my electric blanket with it's wireless controls. Nothing like getting into a warm bed and I'm sure your duvet can't preheat the bed.

At my fiance's parent's house in Ireland they do both- duvets AND electric blankets in the winter. Too bad I can't have the extra warm body under there too Maybe once we are married that'll be allowed!

Growin up my mom always yelled at me because I hated using a top sheet and would just put it in my closet. When I moved out on my own and had kids etc, I just never bothered putting on the top sheet...just a fluffy comforter and extra blankets in the winter.

So, moved here to the UK and yeah!!!!....love my duvets! I told my mom "see, told you I wasn't just lazy...it is more comfy!"

Now that we are heading back I am stocking up on duvets to bring back. The only problem is, is that my bed in the US is king-sized

I had my SO measure his US bed btw, and thats a King size, and it came out as 79 inches wide, 81 inches long

Bed sizes in the UK and the US are different (now there's a surprise)....I think I posted a link in the old forums to this size chart, but will re-post it here....

I hope your talking about duvets!!!!! If you are...I think they are Swedish...but will probably be corrected by someone more in the know that me.
