Has anyone tried wiithdrawing their Pag-Ibig Funds after getting their Greencard... Please share your experience.

Yes you can withdraw your Pag-ibig Fund anytime please check out there website on how to process. I never done withdrawing for the fact that I might use it someday but I worked as Human Resource assigned on Benefits and Compensation of the employees.

I didn't know you can withdraw your Pag-ibig funds, how about SSS? If so, is there a way to do that while I'm in the US?

Before i left the philippines, I attended Pag-ibig and SSS orientation seminar, sponsored by my previous company.

For Pag-ibig, my understanding is that, once i get my residency, I could apply for withdrawal. I'm wondering if someone tried it.

For SSS, i dont plan to withdraw it. I would re-activate my contribution at a later date.

Oh really we can apply withdrawal on Pag=ibig Fund? i didn't know that, but i inquired to SSS before i leaved Phil. if its possible to withdraw my contributions as per the regional manager in our province they do not allow members to withdraw or else everybody will do and what will happen to the Office gonna be "DEAD" he said it happens before around 1980's and its stop due to they realized that what will happen to the SSS in a future, and i'm planning to continue my contributions as soon as i got a job here in the US i paid my SSS for almost 9 years already and the Mgr. told me that much better to complete like ten years or more so that you can have a choice when you get 60 years old its either you want a money back one time or a pension.

Pag-ibig has an office here in the US, not sure where it is. Someone in VJ posted the requirements last year. Been trying to find that thread here in philippines forum but could not.

About the SSS, I personally asked the person giving the orientation regarding withdrawal of contributions. He did not encouraged withdrawing it. Even US citizen could open an SSS account and contribute on it.

he he he he he, PAG-IBIG FUND? ako ni-loan ko na siya wayback.. at di na ako nagpakaltas ... ako GSIS..sabi ng Principal ko dati puede ko pa raw hulugan yung monthly contribution ko...kaya lang di ko na nagawa., pinabayaan ko na ninanakaw lang naman ni Garcia et al....12 years din yun...
