she is a person, and if you continued to stay friends after your marriage ended, then its a friends thing not a MIL thing, its ok to send her anything you want.

i stayed real good friends with my ex MIL, we have been good friends for 11 years, i knew her before i met her son, and i send her gifts and cards on holidays. Edi could care less, he knows shes more a friend than an old MIL.

Even if there's a 99.9999999999999999% chance that she's going to be my MIL again?

WOW :wow: ...... you are filing a fiance visa FOR SOMEONE ELSE, remember? sheesh.

No that's canceled.

then why don't you get your life together before wondering about this stuff? Really sister JODO, really.

Yes we have remained friends. I spoke to her last at Christmas but we always just catch right back up. After my divorce, she would periodically call me and tell me she missed me and that I would get remarried to her son. I would just laugh, but now it seems she was right. She is just the sweetest person ever.

Wife has fond memories of her in-laws, just said, give them a call, she said no way, would just bring up things from the past she would like to forget. I don't have that problem, no fond memories, but don't stop my kids from seeing them, it is their grandparents, can't change that. But you do whatever you feel like doing.

Yea it's a little complicated and I made a mistake, but I have reconciled with my husband and I couldn't be happier.

That's good that you don't use the kids as pawns. I know some people do that and I don't think it is fair to the kids, unless there is a valid reason to keep them away from grandparents. We didn't have kids, and I don't have any , but I'd never keep them away from their grandparents.
