estimated approval date?

I am new here so apologies if I do this wrong! My K1 visa has been sent to NVC on 6th Mar 09 and I have called the automated service which says they have no record. Is it worth actually speaking to a person or will they say the same thing? I have filled in my timelines but it didn't generate an estimated approval date?

K-1 Visa

You won't have an estimated approval date as you have already been approved at USCIS. K-1's are not on the automated service so you will have to speak to a real person, if you haven't done so, to find out if NVC have received it.

Thank you for your help, it's really very confusing! I am trying to plan the wedding (in St thomas) from the UK but worried about setting a date etc as it seems very difficult to judge when I will get an interview!

it is not advisable to schedule any dates until you have the visa in your hand! the embassy will inform you of this in packet 3. :)
