Best way is for her to meet a USC and marry and adjust status.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

You file an 1-130

It will not give her any status until current, which will be a long time after her student status expires.

Check this guide: Siblings

I don't think the OP wanted to marry off his sister just to stay in the US. (which would be marriage/visa fraud).

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

great response,

Summary, if you are a US Citizen you can sponsor your sister.

The other side of the story is that being an F-1 is not going to help, the time of processing for a sibling of a US citizen is from 10+ years, I know that because my mom is in the same process through my uncle.

Filed 2001

Approved 2005

Still waiting for a visa number that according to my calculations will come until 2014, more or less since they are processing as of right now applications from Apr 1995!!
