Exactly!!!!

Not even my family understands. They think they do, especially my father.

He thinks it is a bad idea for me to go and visit my SO b/c I should be saving that money for the trip to Juarez. But when I told my SO that I probably wouldn't go I heard his need to see me in his voice. He has never sounded like that. How can I ignore that and not go and see him when we already had it planned.

Aw Delci,

If you can do it financially, I think you should go see your guy it sure would take the edge off of the wait. And it has been a long wait. Maybe you can get a ticket that you can switch to Juarez if the NOA2 comes through this week or next. I have see a lot of cheap tickets in the last few weeks.

oh no..really? :wow: sheesh.. she doesnt know what she gave up on then.. i hate it when people do something like that, not fight for their love and all.

this whole waiting is getting more and more frustrating each day; i kept praying that maybe we would've been approved since june and up until now, nothing..

uscis should be happy and give themselves a pat on their backs coz they are a big factor aS to how some relationship get ruined!

they need a kick on the butt more like it.. it's really so frustrating having to wait more and more days til any approval. and the thing is, i cant just see my fiance anytime coz we are really saving up on leave days so we can have a lot of time during the wedding and everyday that i keep hoping that maybe soon enough id get to see him, i just get even more and more disappointed; everyone tells me there's a reason behind everything and im sorry but i cant help it i don't want any reasons  :crying::crying::crying::crying: i just want to see my fiance and yes a lot of people do not understand what this journey is :angry:

it makes me wanna pull my  hair out! im just absolutely very very upset at how SLOW they work!

well the good thing, is that we can associate with people that are going through the same journey. I now understand more the website name.

I can vent outside of this forum, but outsiders do not even know what this journey is....

Let's see if we can get our first march approval, since the one we got was february one...

Oh my God!!!! I was reading a bit on every thread and I reached your post. I'm really really sorry you had to go through it. Why she choose that decision only she knows. But what is true is that she should have thought better before getting into this process. To just throw that and you away for a job is really mean. Again I feel very sorry.

And as the previous poster said, USCIS has a lot to do with this. They extend this process unnecessary for so long that they forget that there are real lives put on hold by this and sometimes breaks the relations. It shouldn't be like this. No matter how they explain their work it looks entirely at random.

PEACE..........and be strong.

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in you hearts you can overcome anything.

David,

First let me say how sorry I am that this has happened... truly I am.

Being older than the average bear here... and... well.... frankly almost as old as dirt itself... Let me also say... give it some time. Obviously we are not privy to all that has transpired for her and with the two of you and maybe there is even things happening that you are unaware of. All that aside, give it some time and try not to burn any bridges.

I remember talking with my SO early on about how brave she was for thinking about leaving everything and everyone behind to start a new life. To be honest, I am not sure I could do it. In fact, I am sure I couldn't do it. Maybe time will help things to work out between you... so I wouldn't cancel the application either. Maybe it will not work out, but you have nothing to lose by keeping the file active.

Keep the communication between you two open, honest and sincere. Try to be understanding (I know, easier said than done), try to be reassuring as well.

I truly wish you the best of luck in what ever you decide is best for you.

Yeah , I'll have the extra money b/c I have been saving :D

Actually I'm in Texas so I'll drive down there. He said he'll take a bus to the border to meet up with me and help me drive.

It's like 15 hours from where I live but well worth it.

Excellent! A couple of approvals today, February 26 and 27 NOA1s. Let's hope VSC is back on track and will get moving on the March cases very soon!

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

I agree with what has been said before. I would give it some time. Her saying she changed her mind, and her living with that decision are two different things. If she doesn't hear from you, she might rethink that decision. If she doesn't, best of luck to you and keep your chin up!

Think this for a second. Would you leave everything to go to Brazil?Be honest to yourself. You do not need to write the answer here.Just answer to yourself. Would you leave everything to go to Brazil? Maybe the answer will make you feel better.

Take away the prejudice that US is better than Brazil if you have it.

You would be leaving your family, your friends, your job, what made you what you are.

and if she has doubts now, imagine what can happen if she does come. She will miss home she will be sad, and she will make you sad.

If she decided not to come now, respect her decision. Once i heard:

Richard, you're not as old as dirt lol; but definitely more mature and wiser than most; it's always good to hear about what someone that has more experience in life say

and i agree with that quote "let the cage open and let the bird free, if she comes back ... :D ...if not... :D  "

it you are both for each other, then she will come back; and at the same time just as it was said in another post, be reassuring still; and give her time

but don't lose faith, sometimes we may question God about what has happened, but know this: for everything, Give thanks for it is the will of God

for now, we may never know, you may never know and neither will she, but there is a great reason as to how this could happen;

always remember that when you gain something you lose something and when you lose something you will gain something else too;

if this is God's will for you, then truly He has other plans for you, He doesn't let us experience something that He knows we cannot surpass but He lets things happen because He knows we will be stronger so just keep praying and we will also pray for you; just offer everything to God and acknowledge His will because everything lies in His hands and not just solely from us.

Luke 18:27 Jesus said" what is impossible to men is possible with God."

My reply to my congressman's letter relating USCIS's utterly inadequate "response" to his office's inquiry:

Dear Representative:

I have received your letter of July 9 regarding the status of my I-129F petition as reported to your office by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. I am grateful to you and your staff for your efforts to advocate with USCIS on my behalf thus far. Nevertheless, I still have significant concerns regarding USCIS’s response.

First, the statement that USCIS is currently processing I-129F petitions received on or before November 28, 2008 is no different than the information posted on the agency’s website—and is only current as of April 30, over two months ago. Further, USCIS’s online case status system indicates a “Last Updated” date of April 1. These updates are commonly referred to as “touches,” as this data is supposed to be updated whenever a USCIS adjudicator touches the file, even just to move it from one desk to another. The fact that this date was not updated subsequent to your office’s inquiry strongly suggests that USCIS did not even bother to check the actual file. Based on this perfunctory—if not outright dismissive—response from USCIS to your office’s inquiry, it would appear that the agency does not consider itself accountable to elected Members of Congress, much less the United States citizens the agency purports to serve (and whose taxes provide its budget and salaries). This is simply unacceptable.

Moreover, according to your letter, “… the USCIS must follow all U.S. Laws and regulations related to adjudicating visa and immigration cases.” In our phone conversation of July 13, your staffer Betty Lou elaborated on this point, stating that USCIS adjudicates cases in the order they are received. This is simply not the case. I am personally aware of at least two I-129F petitions filed in May that have already been approved. I understand that certain circumstances (e.g., impending military deployment of the U.S. citizen petitioner) qualify petitions for expedited processing; no such circumstances applied to these two cases, however. While USCIS may claim to adhere to a fair and reasonable “first in, first out” policy, in reality the process is by all appearances arbitrary, capricious, and accountable to no one. Once again, this is not acceptable.

In light of the above concerns, I respectfully renew my request that you intervene with USCIS on my behalf—if not to directly expedite the adjudication of my petition per se, then at minimum to transfer it to the California Service Center, which is currently approving petitions filed in March on a daily basis. Considering USCIS’s arbitrary, capricious, and opaque standards for determining the order of processing, and the agency’s dismissive and disrespectful response to your office’s initial inquiry, I believe this request to be eminently fair and reasonable. By aggressively pursuing the remedy outlined above, you will assert appropriate oversight and supervision of an executive branch agency that has hitherto demonstrated a lack of respect and accountability to the legislature; moreover, you will secure fair and equitable treatment for a constituent who is currently inequitably served by USCIS.

Once again, I thank you for the efforts that you and your staff have devoted to this matter thus far; despite USCIS’s unsatisfactory response to this point, I remain hopeful that your office can intervene to bring a fair and expeditious resolution to my case. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information.

Respectfully,

(me)
