oh yeah btw guys, i was just wondering if any one of you has any ideas about our case,

1.we still havent gotten our NOA1... had the receipt number from the immigration specialist that we hired and whenever i check teh receipt number on the uscis site, it says case received and pending...

2. my fiance's in the military but is stationed in OKinawa and he said he wont deploy.. would there still be a chance we'd be considered for an expedite?

teh only place he's goin is in Laos til july 28th..

but he did say he'd still talk to his commander or superior if he can get a recommendation

I think, when using an attorney that they will get the actual NOA1... received and pending is pretty normal until one day your NOA 2 arrives!

You can always inquire about the expedite, just don't hold your breath...

Good morning everyone! Are we ready for the official start of summer?? I am feeling very optimistic that things are going to start moving now! How was everyone's weekend??

Mornin' Missy,

My weekend was fine, thank you. I worked in the yard, trying to stay ahead of the weeds and am losing that battle! I put down some landscape fabric and some mulch, planted some grass seed and dethatched some of the backyard. I re-potted some plants and made my SO a Mother's Day planter... (since today is Mother's Day in Poland).. Had the housekeeper in the house on Monday so the house is clean... I wonder if I can keep it clean for 27 more days (until she gets here)? Probably NOT! Let's see... I bought a new smoker so I am going to smoke a pork shoulder sometime this week... and that was about all of my weekend....

Maggie and I went to the movies the other night, we saw 17 Again (really great) and Ghosts of Girlfirends Past (not so good). We cooked and hung out, played with my Wii and tried to stay out of the rain. She went back to Mobile yesterday (BOOOO) and I went to an antiques auction with one friend and then went to see Angels and Demons (really really good) with my bestest friend.

It always takes me a day or two to get over Mags going home, she is great company, fun to have around and it's a strange reversal of roles now.....she's 22 and parents me! I love it!

hello everyone

Just came back from a long 3 day weekend with my fiance and daughter. I haven't seen them since January 1st when I came back to Texas. It was supposed to be a surprise for him but he finally got it out of his dad. So when I got off of the bus he was the only one waiting for me and it ended up being a surprise for me.

We spent the whole weekend, just the three of us and had a blast. I didn't want to come back home and he didn't want me to come back either. He said the baby has been looking for me:(

It has been a lot harder on me leaving them this time than it was in January

I've been in such a funk all day

Timeline back to August 14th...I can't believe I was complaining when it was at July 24th!!! That sounds great now!

I know, it stinks. I see approvals (albeit few) but my number on Igor's list goes the wrong way. I know it's because some are just now entering in their timeline, and it isn't their fault since they were in there anyway. But it's grating on my last nerve.

I don't see California approving anything any faster. I see the averages, and until we get the NO2, we are still a part of the same waiting-game. It sucks. I mean think about it, we are all on here because we want support and direction. Some have personal obstacles that are keeping them apart, and the rest of us are just plagued with the USCIS dictating when we can go on living again. None of it is fair... Our timeline does not show anything right now.

No offense, but in my book average of 83 days (CSC) vs. 124 days (VSC) is faster.

Thank you for finally seeing that the averages are simply that - an average based on past numbers and dates. Until more CSC people start receiving approvals, we are all on the same timeline. This is bullocks (as Vik would say). Waiting and waiting and waiting does get you you, and i'm sorry my friend, but your journey has just begun.

Kam - will you post pictures of your wedding and the preparations? You are gorgeous and I am dying to see things along the way. When I was 12, I lived in South Carolina and my best friend was from India.....we used to dress up in her mom and grandmother's saris and wear all of her jewelry and pretend we were princesses. I bet you will look like a princess too. Please post photos??

If we don't get our NOA2's until August- that probably means an October wedding is out of the question?
