I think he was approved, what do ya'll think? He didn't really have an interview, they asked him about what happened last year when he was denied entry, asked him a few other basic questions and then took his finger prints - and therein lies a problem. Apparently his fingerprints are "weak." He mentioned a scale of 1 - 5 and his are a 4, 3 being acceptable....I am guessing 1 is the best? Anyway, they kept his passport and told him to come back tomorrow to pick up his visa pending his fingerprints being successfully run. APPROVED - right??

WTH?!?!? I didn't even know you could have "weak" fingerprints. It sounds approved to me!! As long as he's not wanted by INTERPOL...lol. JK...

I didn't know either, up to my fiancee's interview. Fingerprinting took more than 1/2 hour and they were not very satisfied. But then they were able to run them through some database I guess and everything went fine.

If they took his passport, it means he is approved... congratulations!

That's what I think too but he's not wanting to say he's approved until his has the visa in his hand. I called the embassy and talked to the person he talked to. She told me that they got his prints but it took a long time. Now they are going to run them through the system and if there are no hits then he gets the visa. If there are any hits then they will have to investigate those. It may not take much time or it could take a lot of time, she didn't know. As most of you know, he was denied entry last year for using the Visa Waiver too many times. I asked her if this could be a problem and she didn't think so but would not say anything definite.

24 more hours of waiting - I'm going wig shopping today. I almost don't have any hair left!!

Nothing to worry about, Missy—Elisha also had to do her fingerprints twice, and then the fingerprint check took 24 hours to come back. Part of that probably was due to the time difference (Seoul was 13 hours ahead of Washington at that time of year), but the visa was approved the next day. The VWP denial shouldn't have any bearing on his approvability for the K-1. Relax and get ready to celebrate tomorrow! :star:

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

I want to thank all of you for the wonderful support today. Who knew I was such a big crybaby? Don't answer that!!! We all knew! :D

I know you are right and I have relaxed about it now. Our wedding rings were delivered today and he should be home on Sunday, and Tuesday is THE day!

HEY - I have a suggestion to make - let's stay with this thread for our AOS. I have everything ready to file next week but I can already feel the questions just bubbling up inside of me already!!!!

Love you all, thanks again!

Weak fingerprints? I had to google for the visa scoring guide. I've seen Lars' picture, and he has a strong jaw. So strong jaw beats out weak fingerprints, according to the scoring guide. You're in there!

Update on us - Amy passed her medical finally and is scheduled for her interview Dec 1 at 7a. I'm enrolling her in the Suzanne Somers School of Fingerprint Strengthening just to be safe, but she has certain strong anatomical features that I think will pull her through. As soon as she has the visa in hand, we'll get her here - we've been ready for weeks.

Glad to see all the great news with approvals, etc. Way to go!
