So, some of you may remember that during my last trip to Orlando, I saw a snake through the condo window near the bushes. Since I have a phobia, I basically had a panic attack and realized that it's a huge problem that I need to deal with, especially moving to Orlando. So, while I was home in Canada during the last month, my work hooked me up with a therapist....

Last night, Brian and I went to run some errands and I decided that I wanted to go into PETCO to "maybe" face my fear. Well, it took a little time, but I was a few feet away from the aquarium!!! 26 years of this phobia and I was standing right in front of an aquarium with snakes! I feel very proud!

That's my good news for the day!

So, my good news of the day - I talked to the embassy, to an AMERICAN!!! It was a fantastic conversation. He told me that my calling did more than anything to ensure approval! He is emailing us Packet 3, we get it all together, send it in, go for the medical and then go on over for the interview and he's done and HOME ON NOVEMBER 15TH!! Can you believe it? I am so happy, so relieved, so EXCITED!!!!!

Personally, I slept though the time I can call Warsaw... there is another window that I think its 8 am eastern... I will call today and see what if anything I can do about getting a quick interview.

Yes I do, it's why I am in delayed FREAK OUT mode right now. I don't have anything to wear, the house is dirty, the yards a mess, I have grey hair that needs to be addressed........I AM SO EXCITED I CAN'T THINK STRAIGHT!!

I phoned my congressmens office .. aND the aid told me that it will be 30days next week that I have been in AP and she has made a not to contact the NVC .And see if she can find out whats happening.

I have a feeling that not much will come of it..

But I am so happy for all of you whom are getting through with no problems.

Its been a long Joureny to say the least..

Thanks for your email and your call yesterday. Here are the next steps to complete Lars’ K-1 visa application:

1) Complete all Visa Application Forms

a. DS-156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application

i. Please complete this form online at https://evisaforms.state.gov/ and print it out

ii. Attach one recent 50x50 mm color id photo (the best place to get this done in Brazzaville is Suzanne Photo in front of the Mandarine Restaurant)

b. DS-156-K Nonimmigrant Fiance Visa Application

i. Form is attached to this email as PDF

c. DS-230 Application of Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration

i. Yes, you really need both a nonimmigrant and an immigrant visa application, the K visa spans both categories

ii. Form is attached to this email as PDF

2) Gather Police Certificates and all other required documentation

a. Police Certificates

i. From current place of residence(Congo-Brazzaville) and any place of residence for 6 months or more since age 16.

b. Other documentation as listed on DS-156 K

3) Complete Medical Exam

a. Instructions are attached as Word document

b. Instructions are in French, but here’s the gist

i. Select one of the two clinics in Brazzaville

ii. Schedule an Exam (Bring in ID and any proof of vaccination at time of exam)

iii. Please let me know if you need a translation of any specific point

There’s no reason you need to complete these steps in order. The quickest approach is probably to move forward on as many fronts as possible. Once everything is complete, please call us at 612-2012 or email to set up an appointment. Please don’t hesitate to contact me again if you have any further questions.
