Hey y'all,

I have a few questions that I would like someone/everyone to try to answer, because it's hard to get a straight answer from my lawyer and I'm so frustrated I'm about to start crying.

1. After we get the NOA2 in the mail, does anyone have a check list for what exactly the petitioner needs to give the fiance abroad? So far I have this: Copy of the 1-129F package, originals of doc proof that we submitted with I-129F, original letter affirming desire to marry Janus once again, I-134 Affidavit of Support form, pay stubs, signed letter from my employer, copy of the NOA2, and proof of ongoing relationship. IS THERE ANYTHING I AM MISSING?

2. What is the Packet 3? My lawyer says he is the one who will receive this because he is our 'agent'; the Danish consulate website says we should have put my fiance as our 'agent' so we don't lose time for the packet to be sent abroad to the american 'agent' and then back overseas. It makes me upset my lawyer didn't tell us this from the beginning, because obviously time is valuable. And with all of this back and forth mailing overseas, this will be time lost.

3. Is the K-1 a non immigration visa or an immigrant visa? My lawyer keeps using both terms and I am really confused.

I hope everyone is having a good week. We just gotta keep the faith!!! Thanks everyone...

Good morning Missy...

Guys/Gals have any plans for the weekend?

Good morning!! I sold TWO houses yesterday, probably two more today and I have open house on Sunday! Things are definately picking up here in Jackson and I am so relieved! Work, work, work and it helps the time go by so much faster. What about you?

Good morning!

Lars went to the Embassy in Copenhagen last week to appy for a tourist visa - and was denied. For those that are going to ask, he was told that once a K Visa has been applied for, they NEVER issue tourist visas or any other kind of visa until the K visa has been decided on. No reason why, just they don't do that. That's not how they roll.....

But, while he was there he talked to someone that was VERY helpful and he went ahead and registered himself as the agent. I suggest that your fiance go ahead and do that as well. From what I understand, your attorney does NOT have to be the agent and you are very correct, this will save a lot of time if your fiance is the agent and not the attorney.

In Packet 3 will be the approved list of physicians for his medical exam and links to the forms he has to fill out and a list of what you will need to send him for the interview.

She said that packet 3 will be emailed to him once they receive the docs from NVC. I already sent him a copy of the complete application and have the other stuff ready. I will be going over for the interview so I plan on just taking everything else. I hope this helps a little. I am sure that there are a lot of experts out there that have already been through this that can give more information.

I wish some of the other Danish/American couples that have been through this would write a review or post some information, it would be so helpful.

Missy,

I have to ask, why did he go to the consulate in Denmark to apply for the tourist visa when usually Danes just have to get on the plane and not worry about a tourist visa? I ask because Janus is flying to America end of May to see me for one week. He came also end of March and was granted entry...

Hi Melanne. The below site has a list of things to send your SO in preparation of the interview (post NOA2), if you haven't already seen it.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

Missy, I did a cheer for VSC. Actually, I slipped on the kitchen floor and yelled. But maybe it'll work--at least it scared my dog. The splits weren't Olympics material, but if pain equals gain, I'm rich.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list
