I'm breathing, I swear. I actually am feeling okay about it all now. No point in getting all stressed about it, just pointing out the absurdity of it all.

I am luckier than a lot of folks around here. I actually have lived with Lars and we have the ability to travel if and when we want to and being older than a lot of you kids around here is also an advantage, I think. In the last few days I have had to come to the realization that as much as I think I can exert ANY control over this situation, I can't. Nagging my senators and congressman's offices isn't really helping me and it's time to admit that even if my approval came today, I don't think we would have the time to work it through the system over there. Thats the really difficult part to deal with. The Brazzaville Embassy only started working IV cases in July, the embassy there only reopened last year. They are basically starting over and I get the feeling it's under fairly primitive conditions. Add a huge language barrier (not much English spoken there) and....it's a hot mess and I am powerless over it. But, I gotta say - being a March filer and seeing April and May flying through, I am starting to feel like a red-headed stepchild!

Here's the latest (since I'm sure you're all just dying to know)...

I called NVC tonight, just as I did last night and will probably do every night until our petition is sent on to Seoul.

It arrived there late in the day on Monday, 8/31—I say that because it hadn't arrived in the afternoon when I first called, but they had it when I called around 10:30 that night.

As of tonight, it's still there :crying: but they asked for Elisha's email address, which is a good sign. Seoul sends out Packet 3 by email, and as there's no place on the I-129F petition to provide the beneficiary's email address, they didn't have it yet. I also got her consulate case number.

Still no NOA2 hardcopy, but that's not entirely unexpected.

Does packet 3 go to him or to me? When I called NVC they asked me for his email address. I already completed all of the forms for packet 3 off of the Montreal Consulate website and gave them to him back in April to use for whenever he got his offical packet 3.

But I am not clear as to whether packet 3 goes to the USC or the beneficiary.

P.S. Not to rub it in but Sean will be here tomorrow for a week!!!!

If they have his email address, they'll probably send it directly to him. I was thinking that Seoul would send the Packet 3 email to me since Elisha's email address isn't anywhere on the I-129F or G-325A, but since NVC asked for it I'm guessing they'll pass it along to Seoul for that purpose. That being said, you can probably assume the same thing for Montreal.

No biggie either way; if it comes to me, I'll just forward it.

Have a great time!

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Packet 3 (for warsaw) is just the instructions as to what to have ready and a form to send back saying you are ready... so, really... as long as you are ahead of the curve, it probably is a moot point.

I do hope you have a wonderful time together though!!!

Seoul is pretty much the same way. The Packet 3 (or Packet 3.5, as they call it) email just contains a link to a website where you can download the necessary instructions and forms. They instruct you to complete and fax in DS-230 Part I right away, after which you can submit an interview request online. Then you just collect and hold the Packet 3.5 forms and documents and wait for the Packet 4 email, which is really just an interview confirmation.
