Well... My March Family... I just got off the phone with the Congressman's office. The letter that I had sent in the other day was forwarded to the head of the USCIS and she did nothing with her liaison to see where things were... So today, I asked her to call and get a detailed status report on exactly where our file was... in a box or on a desk, if it has been assigned an adjudicator or not, if the background check was completed etc... She said that she will call and email her liaison, however, her liaison is out of the office this week so it will be early next week (tuesday or wednesday) before she would expect a response.

Oh well... I guess, I'll cop a squat and wait some more... nothing else to do :)

On the up side... she did say that her liaison can tell her exactly what the status is... things that they would not tell me, they will tell her... so we'll see. stay tuned! :)

How crazy is it that they'll tell a liaison something about YOUR case that they will not tell YOU???? It's typical, I know. But it's typical of why folks hate dealing with the government.

Hang in there everyone. I look at Igor's and it's so obvious that they're doing newer cases in order to get the timelines down to their goal - rather than actually processing applications in a timely manner. It's outrageous.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list

Its rather funny... when I was writing the letter and speaking to the congressman's immigration person... I readily admitted that the web and VJ are not official government websites and further that the people here and elsewhere represent only a small fraction of the actual couples that file for K1s. To which the immigration person agreed... but when I said 1) It is the best source for public information and 2) it is a reasonable cross representation, she couldnt disagree more... the same response I got from the Officer who submitted my service request...

its called DENIAL! :)

It won't let me go back to the original message and take it out. Oh well....I'm fairly easy to find on the internet anyway. I posted my facebook page last week. It's not like I'm in the witness protection program or anything!!

Just really frustrated and down today about this whole process. I feel.....bad, sad and mad. And, a little embarassed because you and so many others haven't had any activity and I am jumping up and down about this RFE. I'm sorry about that guys. (L)(L)(L)
