I called NVC today and our case has been chosen for AP (additional processing). It has been there since Aug 3rd. The automated info line doesn't have a record of our case at all so I spoke with a person. I saw in another forum that this is common but that it can take up to six weeks. I guess this means our plans might be changing. I was silly enough to set a tentative wedding date of Oct 17th. This process is so stressful.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it won't take that long

Thank you, what about you? Any word? I check your page everyday to see if it has changed. Are you guys holding up ok?

Oh my gosh. Yesterday my dad called me to see how it was going and I told him still nothing. He said he would call our lawyer to see if he could find out what was going on. I was about to leave work and thought I should write down the receipt number. I logged onto USICS and saw that there was a touch on 8-13 I freaked out and couldn't bring myself to go any further than that page. I was so afraid it would be a denial. I finally opened the page and it said APPORVAL!!!!. I cried and hurried to the store to buy a calling card to call David. When I told him he said...are you serious? are you tricking me? And finally he believed me. He and I were soooo happy. It was the best day :)

All the touches - Got the RFE email this morning. The good news is I know what they want and has suspected this might happen, and the better news is I had already sent in the documents via my Senator, in June. Called the Senator's office this morning to see if they would follow up for me and try to circumvent this RFE but - if we can't, I have the FedEx ready to go out as soon as the snail mail version gets here.

This is going to sound retarded but....I was just excited that I made it to someone's desk and something was done!!!

Do you mind sharing what the RFE was for?
