same with me not even a touch since our petition was filed (sigh)

I'm NY see anything?

congrats to all the approved!! seems to me the people getting approved are Texas and surrounding.....it that right?

I have not looked to see where the people who are already approved are from... But I do remember in the February group that it seemed like Florida was last...I remember the florida filers talking about that.

if you look at it, its huston, texas, NC,,,mexico, just seems to me maybe they do them by state, dont know.....and im glad im not in florida if that was the case with FEB,,,,,going to investigate the FEB approved list to see if that was the case with the 1st approvals.

congrats to all the approved!! seems to me the people getting approved are Texas and surrounding.....it that right?

Hmm I haven't paid much attention to that yet, but it sure would be interesting if that was the case! Hopefully it wouldn't matter where a person was located though. I suppose it doesn't matter too much as long as we're all getting timely approvals

Dgard, im thinking you are next UP AT BAT on the approval,, you are TEXAS also

We are doing a destination wedding at a small resort in Puerto Rico. Nothing big as it is a second wedding for both of us and we both like the idea of after all this stress just relaxing on the beach for a bit. The good news is that the resort said they can help us plan everything within a month of the wedding so seems that is the route we are taking. :)

Has everyone's wedding plans changed as often as mine have? I think I've planned about 25 different weddings in the last 6 months, everything keeps changing based on how long Im having to wait for the NOA-2.

We have almost (99% sure) decided to post pone our wedding to New Years Eve. We were originally hoping for October 17, but if we choose New Years, this actually takes a lot of pressure off of well, everything. As much as we wish we could still plan for October, it's just cutting it too close.

Just thought I'd share this with y'all because changing the wedding date actually feels more of a relief than I thought it would. Less pressure, more time to plan, pack, move, etc. I'm not checking my email for the NOA-2 like a crazy woman any more. Well, at least, not as often :)

Glad to hear you were taken care of in Denmark Missy.

Hey guys,

Thanks for answering. I received a Request for Further Evidence, through my email and the hard copy is not yet in hand. I was wondering if I can call to the USCIS to find out what are the papers they need so I can accelerate the process. Also which is the formal way to send the papers, do they need a "cover letter" as with the K-1 visa pettition we are filling for? How much time do we have to respond to this RFE, and how long, normally do they take to answer.

Please!!!! help!!! we do not need more time waiting.. we've had enough and gone through enough!!!

I can't imagine it's being done by state...I'm in NC, got my NOA1 March 5, and it has now been 5 months without even a touch. I'm so worried my petition has been lost. I was so patient but now that petitions received after mine are being processed, I'm anxious!!! I'm annoyed that I have to wait two more months before asking USCIS for help.

June 1997 - Met at summer camp; became friends over the next two years but lost touch

August 2007 - Ron finds Jody on Facebook and relationship begins

September 2007 - Ron visits Jody in US

October 2007 - Ron visits Jody in US on and off for 9 months

July 17, 2008 - Ron returns to Germany

August 20, 2009 - Jody visited Ron in Germany for 10 days after 13 months apart!

May 15, 2010 - Ron visited Jody on VWP

Legally married - May 20, 2010 (after 13 years, couldn't stand being apart anymore!)

AOS postmarked - August 17, 2010

AOS NOA1 - August 25, 2010

AOS interview (rescheduled from Jan. due to winter storm closing) - March 17, 2001 - APPROVED!!!

Keith and Else - Congrats on the approval. I recommend going to the site below for next steps. For RP, I believe you can complete the medical examination now as long as you have the email copy of the NOA2. Would also send the needed papers now in order to allow for sending time.

KataAndFreddy - I'm sorry to hear about the RFE, but at least you know they're looking at your petition. From what I have read, calling might not yield any results, but if it was me, I'd probably give it a try (nothing ventured, nothing gained). Hope it gets resolved soon.

Linda - I'm glad you're keeping the faith. With a "never give up" attitude, you are destined for success. When you stop and think about it, the really hard part was finding the right person. Now it's all just paperwork (and patience).

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list
