Email from NVC with Interview Letter

I just received my interview date and time by calling NVC and speaking to an operator.

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on when I would receive the email from NVC with the interview date and time.

I just spoke with NVC operator and received interview date for april 7th. And with that she also mentioned that both petitioner and benecificary should receive appointment letter via e-mail by this week. They no longer snail mail letter only by e-mail. Hope this helps.

U.S. Passport

xx-xx-2012: Passport application sent

I-130 petition for Sibling

07-19-2012: Sent I-130 via Priority mail

07-23-2012: I-130 received by PHX lbx (forwarded to california)

07-23-2012: Priority date

07-30-2012: I-797 receipt received

1. CR1 [Completed: 2009/Total Days: 325]

2. ROC [Completed: 2011/Total Days: 222]

3. CITIZENSHIP [Completed: 2012/Total Days: 125]

4. US PASSPORT [Completed: 2012/Total Days: ]

Cool...thanks!!!! You know people in India, they want to see the envelope and postmark and the sun :)

Especially the fact that they changed this policy, you know someone is going to say something.

So will the beneficiary still receive hard copy in mail from embassy? This letter we got is from NVC but has the state dept seal on it. Will this be the only interview letter? Also isn't it suppose to be a yellow colored interview letter at least for in India I thought? But like you said maybe they changed it all up.

Last friday when I talked to them they told me that they will e mail me and my wife for the instruction on her interview. Today I talked to them, they told me they already mailed me the Instruction for my wife's interview....ummmmmn, as long as I get either one I am happy.. E-mail I will get it in few minutes, hard mail in few days... interview not till next month so I still have time to burn... !

Cool Thanks, the Operator at NVC said you should be receiving an email with the interview letter, but didn't mention receiving anything in the mail. Hrmmm...

I got the appointment letter a few minutes ago as well. Very nice. I'm going to drop a couple of copies in the mail for my wife, so it gets printed out on Legal Paper!!!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.
