Recycled Numbers

I have a recycled phone number I got recently. Look at the phone a minute ago and I have 10 voice mails. Zero are for me.

3 were from some person informing the old owner of the state of I guess the father and some Medicaid paper work.

2 were from debt consolidation hotlines.

1 was from a bank where they apparently did not want to open up a checking account for her

4 were from debt collectors for the old owner.

I think I'd want another number, but then I would probably end up with the same kind of problem. The downside to pre-paid phones.

terrible and just wrong..on my last landline #..a female..Lacy..owned it..and damn..they leave some nasty azz vms..i called the phone company and they wanted to know if i wanted to change the #..

i said, No..i wanted her current # ,,if possible..she sounded like a hot tamale

I had a recycled non-prepaid number, or at least one a Pizza Hut manager kept giving out to his employees and vendors. AT&T changed my cell number quickly. I still get collection calls periodically on my landline for previous occupants. One time someone called asking for someone, had my address and all!! He asked if I lived south I said no north just to get him to go away.

That's what I don't get. Apparently, this woman is still giving out her disconnected number to other people because these are calls about things that have happened since I have gotten the number. Maybe over the weekend, I'll try to have them change the number, but I don't have too high of expectations for that.
