Ok I have to go look up where Tennessee is on a map. BRB.

eta:

Wow....I'd have to fly. I dunno....Tennessee in the summertime? My mom gave birth to my bro when they were at Ft. somethingorother. It was either in Kentucky or Tennessee but in any event she said it was hot as hell.

How bout Alaska? :innocent:

Tn is about like Ohio with the weather. It gets warm but nothing like Florida. It's right under Ky. Was it something like Fort Thomas, Kentucky?

It was Fort Campell which I guess is in between Kentucky and Tennesee border lines or something. All I know is 1) it was hot as hell, 2) the other wives constantly wanted to do coffee with my mom but my mom is a total book nerd and didn't like to socialize, 3) my father wore his best suit which happened to be woolen when my bro was born and her water broke and splattered all over the suit. LOL

Budget's tight so is husband, thinking for us just staying around this area is gonna have to do us!

Turia,

If we did get a house, we could split the cost several ways as long as we got enough people to come. The price could be $50-70 a night, for say 2 nights. Now, I know gas prices are something to consider. Could you guys swing something like that?

Bridget...I'm sure we could pick you up at an airport!!!!!!

I think I'll pass and wait for a North Eastern meetup. Too far to go and I'd rather stay on the ocean during the summer. How about a cruise!!!!!:dance:

I don't really even think that money is the problem, its the fact that he has no real time off work and to drive somewhere for a day wouldn't be worth it for us. He is saving his vacation time for Morocco.

FYI Mom and I went on a cruise last summer and they totally rawked but be prepare for $20 service fees a night. They charge per person in the room and then expect a tip. So while the fairs to get there and ride may be cheap we walked away with an extra bill of service fees at $500 a piece. I don't think there is any way out of that part of it.
