Thanks! That's from his new school pics. I swear people think he is four and sometimes five because he is so tall...but my sweet baby will be 3 in just a few days!!!! :crying: He's growing up tooo fast.

We are planning a big birthday party for him this weekend. I think I'm more excited than he is!

I could really do either.

I think the Gatlinburg vaca might be more economical since we could rent a house and split the cost and we could save some money by cooking in the kitchen. Also, if we want to "sit around" and talk in the evenings, this might be easier.

BUT, if the families are going...

DC could be better since there is probably more to do and people could get their own hotel rooms (perhaps we could find the same hotel to stay in). Don't know if this might be more expensive.

I'm really on the fence about just chicks or with misters. I was really surprised actually that Hicham wanted to go and meet some new people. It could be good for our guys to meet each other. On the other hand, like I said before, hard for us to really dish w/ the misters around!

If they come we send them on their own adventures for chatty time. I say if the boys want to come let them. They may feel the need to do some Arabic talking....although we need a good translator to tell us what they are saying. LOL....I really could care less either way. I think TN is more in my budget with the big house and all.

I'll have to ask Hicham how he feels about staying in a place like that. He can be "funny" about stuff like that sometimes. However, he would be more for cost effective.

I wouldn't at ALL describe myself as fluent in Arabic, but I know quite a few words and phrases. But I've been finding myself lately, when we are hanging out with our Palestinian friends, that I can sometimes understand what they are saying. It's hard to describe because it's not like I completely recognize all the words...do any of you know what I'm talking about it?

Yes, I know exactly what you're talking about. You get the gist of the conversation without knowing every detail. I understand way more Arabic than I can speak.

I'm the same way. Can sometimes pick out what the conversation is about by catching onto words.

You know in my family I'm the funny one about that. I normally am not into rooming with other people just because....I can't really explain why. But I think I'll be ok...I'm not a weirdo about it just private at times.

Tn is about like Ohio with the weather. It gets warm but nothing like Florida. It's right under Ky. Was it something like Fort Thomas, Kentucky?

Turia,

If we did get a house, we could split the cost several ways as long as we got enough people to come. The price could be $50-70 a night, for say 2 nights. Now, I know gas prices are something to consider. Could you guys swing something like that?

Bridget...I'm sure we could pick you up at an airport!!!!!!
