Yeah...I'd rather non-MENAesque meet up! :P

Spouses should come and we should rock it US-VJ'er style! :P Amusement park, Spa, whatever....something fun for everyone and a good affordable trip for the entire clan. There are tons of deals out there because of the economy...some places are dying to get visitors!

My house is not that big but you'll are welcome here in the 110 degree weather...we have a pool... In all seriousness...some place inbtwn and affordable would be great.

I guess we need to decide how many want it to be a MENA chick only get together or how many want spouses. We would just have to let majority rule.

Each person could PM me with their choice if they don't want to be all public about it or post it here if you don't care.

I would be more inclined to do the Arab Music Fest if Hicham were with me, otherwise, laying by the pool or having a fun dinner with the girls would be much more fun...I think.

Don't forget me Amal, I'm in Charlotte, NC.

How many of you would need to drive? That might determine where we have it, you know?

lmfao Astarte, my husband often refers to it as "visa sh*t" lol. not anything against anyone here, he just use to hate that I was on it so much..

For a meetup? I would probably want hubby there. and im down for anything, vegas sounds good for a weekend but i would need time to plan accordingly.

I would so love to visit DC. I'd be willing to drive down there and I may even be able to drag the mister and/or kids.

Metro Detroit has a lot of MENA type things to do esp in the summer with the Arabic festivals in Dearborn and Downtown Detroit. We also have the Arab American Museum in Dearborn. However, aside from that, Metro Detroit is hella boring IMO. Oh we do have many casinos and stuff but most of y'all prolly wouldn't be interested in that.

I'm in between Dayton and Cincinnati Ohio.

It doesn't matter to me whether it is just us or bring the hubbies with us. I have no idea what kind of job Aym will have by then.

Throwing out another suggestion. There are alot of places in the Smokey Mountains where you can rent a house OR find hotels. I've been to Gatlinburg which is in Tennessee. That is kind of a lengthy drive for us though. AND, I would venture to say that's about as "non-MENA" as you can get!!!!
