We, my husband and I, received an email from NVC. It's an appointment letter for my husband for his interview. Is this the letter that he can print out and present to SLEC so he can have his medical without waiting for the hardcopy that the US embassy will send him? Thanks!! :)

As long as it has the case # and the date, he can use that to do medical. It an official letter from state dept with there seal on it. Good luck. I am still waiting for them to resend the one I got since they forgot to include the date, it only has the time and place. Go figure, never a dull moment lol.

Club that's great you got your letter. We are still waiting for ours. BTW our packages arrived in Manila on the 9th at 3:30 pm Philippine time and were signed for. Hoping our letter comes soon or the wife will just use the NOA-2 for the medical. I sent an email to NVC asking about the letter still waiting for their response.

I received the NVC letter last week. I scanned and sent an email to my wife to bring into the medical.

Regarding the package received at the embassy, I am uncertain what the contents are. I do wonder whether package 4 that being sent to my wife will be in English language or the native language. Since Thailand does not use English as an official language. They have their own alphabets. I hope that the letter carrier can read English really well. I hate to have the letter returned to the sender.

I think, the letter will be addressed in front of the envelope with the English language, not with the native alphabets language. Am I right?

I was not actually expecting that they will send us an appointment letter through our email. That's why I was surprised to see it. Keep checking your email...you might receive your email soon!

I talked to them on FRIDAY, they told me that they will e-mail me and my wife the APPT for an Interview. Then I talked to them YESTERDAY, they told me they send us the mail for the instruction date for my wife's interview. I really don't care much how they send it as long as I have one in my hand! They cant tell me if the consulate received our package and I even asked for the tracking number! How did u know consulate receive it? And the tracking no.?

I 1st checked the NVC AVR for the latest status on our case and found out that it was already forwarded to USEM on Mar 06, 2009. I tried to track it on DHL website using the reference date. Sure enough that many packages going to different us embassy posts on different countries, including the philippines, were picked up by DHL on that date. I got the tracking number from DHL website not from NVC.
