Have a great time with Sian!

P.S. How come your username is Cian, while your fiancee's name is Sian?

I've been Cian (Ulster Irish - "Kee-an" = Ancient) for many years. Long before I met Sian. While they look the same, they're far from it. While I'm "Kee-an", her name is Welsh and pronounced "Sharn".

Thanks for explaining - I've been scratching my head over that for a bit. And now I know how to correctly pronounce the names. I've had See-an in my head all this time...

Most people call us "Cyan" and "Sigh-Ann". LOL

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Not sure about Bro Dean's method.....

Sian refuses to ever enter the basement. Ergo, anything I just can't get rid of gets thrown down there. Soon I won't have to worry about the floors being a little bouncy (1838 house) because the "stuff" in the basement will firm the floor up nicely.

Just kidding.

Sort of.

LOL

ROFL!!!

I've thrown a lot away. Sian knows that I'm a packrat though, so she accomodates that as well as she can. I can't throw "everything" away anyway....too many antiques and other semi-valuable things. Most of the "clutter" though is marked for disposal.

Just posting quickly to let everyone know that Sian made it through customs without a problem at all. She had gathered a mountain of "evidence of ties to the UK", and didn't need any of it. The woman at CVG (Greater Cincinnati Airport) asked her the purpose of her visit, Sian told her, and she told her to have a nice visit. Took her about 45 seconds. Gotta say that I recommend CVG as a POE to anyone in this area.

She told her that she was here to visit her fiance for 2 weeks.

Ok, I have the more detailed story now. The following is how Sian described her entry at CVG on her blog (written while I was asleep yesterday afternoon.....she wore me out. LOL)

Anyway...immigration. There I was, with my folder full of evidence to prove I wasn't going to stay in the country illegally. All neatly stapled and put into sections/groups for easy understanding. I was waiting in line and there are all these different Immigration Officers. I looked at each one and was trying to work out who looked the most bad tempered and deciding that whoever that one was...I was bound to get him/her. I settled on one particular chap. Looked horrible to be honest and it did look like I was going to get him. Sh!t I thought, he is having a bad day and he is going to kick me out of the USA.

I was so busy staring at him that I didn't hear one of the other agents calling me over to her...I almost ran over to her I was so relieved!

Anyway, she asked me why I was visiting, I said to visit my fiance (still sounds weird saying that...!!). I went on to tell her that I had a K-1 fiancee visa awaiting adjudication. She looked at me for a few seconds, then said "don't confuse me love...so next time you will be coming over on a K-1...but not now?". Stamped my passport, stapled the visa waiver form into it and waved me through. I almost did a little happy dance as I walked away. She was a bit grim but she let me through so I have no complaints. Except she could do a bit more with her hair maybe.....LOL

So now you truly know what it's like to come into the US via CVG. LOL
