ANYONE FROM ALBANIA??

Is there anyone on VJ from Albania?? I went to the Disctrict Attorney's (Prokurori) office today to get the police certificate today and it was surprisingly easy! I handed in my passport, this lady took a look at me, wrote sth down and handed me a small piece of paper saying basically that i had no penal cases active...something like that. And the fee so pretty cheap. I read on wiki that to take this kind of document would take a long time, but I was done in 20 secs. so maybe i went to the wrong place. can anyone help? :unsure:

Hi, there are three of them in total. My wife got two of them same day while the other one took a couple of days. They are...

1. Republika e Shqiperise (GJykata e rrethit gjyqesor Tirane)

2. Republika e Shqiperise (Ministria e Drejtesise - Drejtoria e Pergjithshme e Burgjeve) I think this is the major one and that it took a couple of days.

3. Republika e Shqiperise ( Prokuroria)

Let me know if you need anything else.

12-29-2008: NVC received Case/Case # assigned

1-5-2009: DS-3032/AOS Fee Bill Generateed

1-8-2009: Emailed DS-3032

1-13-2009: DS-3032 Accepted

1-13-2009: IV Bill Generated

1-13-2009: IV Bill Paid

I have a question.

My wife needs to send me documents from Tirana.

What is the best way to get them here in USA?

I use FedEx to send to her but.....

Any suggestions are appreciated.

As far as i know there are a couple of options. Theres regular mail, then theres something im not sure what it is but you pay extra that you can have everything in a week or so and then theres dhl which is expensive but very quick.

I have a question.

I would NOT suggest regular mail. It's very slow and very unreliable. I don't know about the other options beniecenvet is talking about, but I don't really trust the Albanian mail system. I always use DHL to send documents to my husband in the States and he always gets them in 1-2 days (except if you send it on friday, it'll take an extra 2 days cuz of the weekend). It's a little bit more expensive than regular mail but I think it's worth it, especially for documents.
