NVC Scheduling Interview Date for April 2009

Tomorrow I'm going to try to switch my K3 interview for the CR1.

Congrats! You might want to wait until your cr1 file reaches consulate before you ask them to switch your k3 into cr1 because most consulate cancels k3 in favor of cr1, but that's just my sugesstion. I am personally planning to wait untill my cr1 reache consulate.

That's right! It's better to wait a couple days. I'm so anxious I can barely think clearly! LOL

If you are trying to make the switch aren't you supposed to call NVC asap once your CR-1 completes and tell them to send your case to the embassy right away and give them the date (by March 24th) and after you do that you can call the embassy and tell them it's been sent already and to switch the date? That is what I read somewhere...

We have an interview date now. April 21st. I thought the day would never come!

Sonia,

Can you let me know, what are the documents you and your husband sent to NVC.

I would really appreciate. Looks like we got RFE. I did not send any document yet.

Thanks in advanve

My embassy is Dhaka too.

Helloo...How did u know that u got an RFE? Try to find out the reason for RFE and send at once.

And I sent the following documents with DS 230.

1.Two (2) Passport Size Photographs of Beneficiary (NVC Case Number, Beneficiary’s full name, and date of birth are written on back of both)

2.DS-230 Part 1 completed and signed by beneficiary

3.DS-230 Part 2 completed by beneficiary – unsigned, as of yet, per instruction

4.Photocopy of the Biographic Data Pages of Beneficiary’s New Passport

5.Original copy of Birth Certificate

6.Original Marriage Certificate and Nikah Nama (Bengali and English version) duly Authenticated by the Notary Public

8.Original copy Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) executed by the Ramna Model Police Station Dhaka, issued in pursuance of the Ministry of Home Affairs and duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Government of The People’s Republic of Bangladesh

Good Luck...

Sonia

Thanks for thr info,

I call NVC and found out that I need to send all document.

My parents lives in Khulna. Permanent address is Paikgacha, Khulna. Local police station khulna refused to provide Police certificate so they took it from Paikgacha Thana. and attested with FM. will it be any problem?

Re: Marriage certificate: I am sending one original and one copy of my parent. Do I need to send my original marriage certificate too?? Why they need my marriage certificate( I saw onlie: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html). I though they need only my birth certificate only! Can you advise me, what should I do

Dola

Dear Dola...I think I got u wrong at first..So that now I know u r applying for ur parents..All I can say...just send all the original documents...About the PCC, it is better if u can manage from the right police station...Well, in fact, no one in US knows the difference though, like which area is under which PS...So I think, PCC will be fine if they are obtained legally from the nearest police station.

Good Luck

Sonia

I'm going to call again real late on Friday before they leave for the weekend. I'm having a break until then because I can't handle ringing up and keep being told the same thing

U always have that option, so do we...it is just we are really impatient in this specific issue...I remember calling NVC 15-20 times just to know if they have generated our AOS bill and DS 3032...he he he...

Good Luck

Sonia

Have you called NVC and spoken to an operator, or are you relying on the AVR?? If you are relying on the AVR, the AVR does not update with the interview information, you should call and speak to an operator to see if your case has been scheduled for an interview.

Good Luck!!

Hi, Yes I called and talk to an operator, asking them if NVC scheduled the interview for our case yet, she said "Nope, not just yet. She said they still schedule the interview for April and I should try to call back next Monday if i get the interview date for April or not. But from the timeline that I see the few cases from Thailand, it most likely takes about 15 weeks to an interview date after the case completed. So I think I should expect the interview in May. Kind of too bad for the long waiting. It will be one year in June since we filed for the visa.

Hang in there, those of us hoping for a date in Montreal are here waiting with you

Last month, interviews were still being scheduled well into the third week of the month! There's still hope for those of us waiting for interviews at the busier embassies. Fingers crossed for you!

Yeah ... he is so excited now that he can't even come online that much..

By the way, I think I could track DHL.... That was Shipped on March 10th. Is that ours? Only a packet that weighs 1.1lb? weird...Do they have only one care in each parcel?

Well according NVC opeator that I spoke with, she said they have not forwarded our file to consulate as of yet so I dont know what to make out of operator info vs DHL? I hope that is the package, but let wait n see. You might want to call n find out if they forwarded your file to dhaka embassy or not?
