NVC Scheduling Interview Date for April 2009

wow i been lost for a while! but here is my update! my k3 got interview dat april 22, but the most bizarre thing happened! my i-130 got appoitment date April 13!

Hey guys...Just wanted to give you guys an update on a topic that we had discussed earlier in the thread. My wife actually got a package from the Mumbai consulate with an interview letter. She said the interview letter while contains the same info, looks a little different than the interview letter received from NVC. I am waiting for her to email me the scans, will post an update once I see the Mumbai Consulate interview letter.

Hey guys...Just wanted to give you guys an update on a topic that we had discussed earlier in the thread. My wife actually got a package from the Mumbai consulate with an interview letter. She said the interview letter while contains the same info, looks a little different than the interview letter received from NVC. Cool. So, I am wondering what if someone dont receive interview letter packet in time from mumbai consulate , do they still accept interview letter copy from NVC?

I would think they should accept the letter from NVC, both letters from my understanding contain the same information regarding date, time, and location of the interview. If VFS accepted the letter, I don't see why it would be a problem.

True. By the way I got e-mail from mumbai consulate saying they will issue CR1 visa on k3 interview date. They said make sure you carry all CR1 documents.

Yes, all done. Now waiting for march 30.

So do let us know what included in the letter from the consulate and if the nvc letter will suffice if we don't get the consulate letter in time. I will be emailing them later. 4. List of the Photograph instructions

5. Locations of the VFS offices that deal with the Mumbai Consulate

6. Checklist of documents to bring the interview (The same as the K-3 document checklist)

7. A blank DS-230 part I and II

Everything listed above can be downloaded from the Mumbai consulate website.

It just the interview letter that has the Consulate letter that is important in the package.

Update: case is out of internal review, but so far no interview in April... We told them that this sh.. cost us a month, their reply: Sorry for the inconvenience. Great, those guys are so funny...

I still got hope because the consulate's homepage states they have still slots open for non-immigrant visas and Frankfurt isn't that busy

I don't want to burst your bubble...but you are applying for a CR-1 based on your profile and timeline, so you are in the immigrant visa category.
