I just called NVC and they informed me that they just rec'd my case, The rep advised me she wasn't able to provide me with a case number as someone is currently working on my file. Wooohooo

I will call again prior to the end of the day to check for a case number

Cool!!! The process is underway, you should have a case number later today if someone is looking at your file. Make sure you get both case numbers even if you are just following the CR-1.

Even though I'm just gonna go home and do nothing .My husband told me "Stop buying stuff" - I think he's a little concerned about my $30,000 credit card bill! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Poor guy! Well it's not my fault! It's immigration's fault! If he was here, I wouldn't feel the need to shop and spend money out of boredom and depression...and I wouldn't have to buy plane tickets to visit him! So there! At least I got tons of mileage for my plane ticket... Seriously, I don't know what I'm gonna do now. He gave the order so I'm finished.

Any suggestions for passing the time that doesn't include charging up my Mastercard?

haah nothing i can suggest its probably gonna be even worse... lately i started going to work on my days off so i dont keep track of time. lets see how long its gonna take them to realize that half of the time im on VJ instead of doing my job.... who cares, once my hsuband comes ill probably not even go to work for about a month... make up for the past year i havent seen him so what about you guys? once your hubby / wifey comes.. what are your plans?

HMMMMMMMMM all I can say is lots of much needed and massages to make up for those frustrating stressful moments spent apart since the start of this painfully long journeyyyyy!!

I'll only take a week or so off work. No specific plans really, just alot of pinching and poking at his arm to make sure it really is him and he's actually here

I checked my tracking numbers with USPS and all my packets (AOS, IV) arrived today at NVC. I see they are finishing cases in about 15 days now... I hope that's me! We'll miss the window for an April interview but May is still a good chance.

My husband got his packet from Albanian consulate for K-3 and they asked for I-134, DS-230, DS-157, DS-156, the DS-156K, and about a billion different police forms and family information certificates. The Albanian Embassy is kinda wacky. You have to submit everything before they will give you an interview. I've tried to get my husband to give up on the K3 but he is stubborn and he finally feels like he is doing something!

I checked my tracking numbers with USPS and all my packets (AOS, IV) arrived today at NVC. I see they are finishing cases in about 15 days now... I hope that's me! We'll miss the window for an April interview but May is still a good chance.

My husband got his packet from Albanian consulate for K-3 and they asked for I-134, DS-230, DS-157, DS-156, the DS-156K, and about a billion different police forms and family information certificates. The Albanian Embassy is kinda wacky. You have to submit everything before they will give you an interview. I've tried to get my husband to give up on the K3 but he is stubborn and he finally feels like he is doing something!

Yup, that list looks right, the only thing I question is the DS-156K because that is the Fiancee Visa application, but if the consulate wants it, you must fill it out...not sure why they would want it.

Can someone share what phone number I can use to call the NVC? I have a letter dated February 20th that says within a week my case would be forwarded to the consulate (Ukraine). The case # is in the letter ...

After the files get to the Embassy, then they go to an appointment center on Fridays. I called on Wednesday last week but the center didn't have our file yet. I'm assuming it was in the batch the appointment center in Kiev received this last Friday ... but I can't call until tomorrow. The center is closed for International Woman's day.

I just would like to double check that the NVC did in fact send it out ...

Did you mean for Kiev only they send the files on fridays or all posts/consulates? And did Ksenia get her medical prior to the K3 getting to the consulate???

SARITA, a celebration is in oder for us! Both my files have reached NVC and I just called and got both case #s and was told my K3 should be leaving NVC (GOD WILLING within a week WOOOOgreatwonderfulawesomeHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)

I will of course keep checking between Wed-Fri to see if it got sent out sooner he he
