Just got off the phone with NVC. I had a feeling...YEP we're in AP also. Seems almost unavoidable, but I had prepared myself for it and something told me to expect it after Lisa and Steve got stuck in it. I will be thankful if we got out by the end of April and hopefully my hubby can still get a late May or Mid June interview and be with me in time for our first year anniversary.

I won't get mad, I won't cry. It's just the way things are for us at this point. Disappointed yes, but we gotta go on. Better we found out right away too as opposed to be slapped by AP a week or two later of waiting and calling NVC every day.

Much rather be in AP now than after interview or later. The counting clock starts once again 00020352.gif

Just got off the phone with NVC. I had a feeling...YEP we're in AP also. Seems almost unavoidable, but I had prepared myself for it and something told me to expect it after Lisa and Steve got stuck in it. I will be thankful if we got out by the end of April and hopefully my hubby can still get a late May or Mid June interview and be with me in time for our first year anniversary.

I won't get mad, I won't cry. It's just the way things are for us at this point. Disappointed yes, but we gotta go on. Better we found out right away too as opposed to be slapped by AP a week or two later of waiting and calling NVC every day.

Much rather be in AP now than after interview or later. The counting clock starts once again 00020352.gif

Thanks for the support Jen. Yeah sounds like 90% of ppl are being thrown in there. After I heard about Steve and Ksenia is a female, I knew in my heart my husband was very likley to be hit! Plus it wouldn't be fair to Lisa and Yazied :P Hope u are among the 10% lol...Any luck with the case #s?

There is no reason. It's totally random, NVC likes to conduct random security and name checks. Just the draw of the luck. You can read this thread if you like and check ppl's timelines to c how long each person lasted in AP:

I would much rather go through this now than later on in the journey. I am trying to be strong for my husband (the news really hit him hard) cz he was so excited and hopeful about our K3 reaching the embassy soon and now this. But I was preparing myself emotionally and psychologically and know most ppl don't last in AP forever. And though in my heart I am hurting, I am hurting more for him b/c I know how disappointed he was when I gave him the news. But the way I see it, we are bound to get out of it sooner or later. I would still be glad if I can have him here before our anniversary :thumbs:

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Me too me too!! :yes: Cast a spell for me too and get us out of AP soon!! I want a MAY interview ...Ok Ok maybe I am too hopeful, how about a mid June or late June interview at the latest?? I think we still got a shot of making it! I figure 2 mons of AP will bring us to May 10th....and K3 gets sent to the consulate right away. Since we will definitely have all our docs ready to go by then, all we would need to do is request an interview date. So I hope June it is! A girl can dream on a karma star, can't she? :star:
