K3 FAMILY - HANGOUT, week of March 09

I don't know

but seems like i have really bad luck with the whole Visa Process

i got my papers send back twice at USCIS, before my 250 days between NOA1 & 2

and now this NVC 33 days and counting

I'm afraid of NVC error, random APing, the stupid Albanian notary my husband hired, and my own error.

How am I to sleep at night?

Still lurking and waiting for NOA2 from Vermont. Hoping to hear something in the next month or two. Me and hubby are going certifiably insane.

Sounds familiar. We always joked they need to build us a nuthouse near the port of entry for when we are finally reunited. Cz judging by how long it takes to be back with our SOs, we most likely would be certifiably insane Good luck and hope you hear the much needed good news soon. We just got ours after 230 longgggggggg and agonizingggggggg days!

That sucks, Georgina! You have every right to be mad I support u on this one 100%. But at least ur K3 left for consulate rather fast and u have one interview date scheduled. I know it's not that exciting especially when u want to flip the 2 interviews...All I can offer u is my ((((((((hug))))))) and karma stars

Sleep? ......My sleep pattern has been so off the wall lately!! Until we are out of NVC, I will remain a nervous wreck. I am soooo tempted to call them but would rather wait till nightime. I think more likely to get some useful info at the end of the day. I called this morning and was told my case is still there. I nervously await the magic words: NVC LEFT OH GOD more waitingggggg Every step of this process has its hurdles. When does it ever end???

Jen, did your lawyer say why he wants to meet with you? Is it to fill out the forms? Ours still insists on receiving the damn notice

have to worry about being abble to swap or it getting there in time or needing to wait for a CR-1 because my K-3 not valid because my NVC got done right before my interview but not enough for my papers to get to Caracas, I don't want to fly to Caracas for nothing!

Because CR-1 will make K-3 Invalid if Caracas get requested for interview from NVC for my CR-1

OMG! this thread certainly has blossomed - havent been on to VJ but for a few minutes all day & I have lots of reading to catch up on.

Hopefully I can find where I left off yesterday, trying to keep up with everyones experiences of moving from VSC to NVC!

My boss leaves at 3-4pm everyday so I finish all my work and start VJing!

U're welcome But why do u say the K3 is not valid?? It has nothing to do with CR1. Do u not have two copies of all originals is that why?

I think she means if you get your CR-1 finished, you can't continue with the K3. You have to then continue with CR-1 which means they have to schedule her for a CR-1 if they are not able to swap the interview in time (of her K3 interview date). Right?

No, the K-3 is for you to enter the us while you are waiting for your Green card to be processed

but if your green card is processed then your k-3 not vallid if you are still outside of the us

So that is the issue

If it they request the embassy for an interview date a few days before my interview my K-3 interview is not gonna happen and i have to wait till the paperwork reached the Embassy, hoping i don't go there and find out there, we cant do it because your k-3 is not valid anymore because your CR-1 is done but your paperwork is not here yet!

THIS IS WHAT I AM WORRIED, if it gets done and it gets to embassy before my interview i can swap them!

So my husband paid a notary $50 to make him a DS-230 AFTER I told him I sent him one in the mail and it would be there this week. He also paid her to make the DS-157 (which I left him a copy of in Feb) and wants me to fax him a copy of the DS-156K. The DS-156K has 5 questions on it and and three of those 5 are what is your name and the other two are N/A since we filled for K3. I told him he has to do and he better not pay the notary to do it.

I'm eating dried fruit at my desk at an attempt to calm myself.

IM sure I could fill out those papers myself but I already paid the lawyer and he has them on his computer so why waste my time? hahahahahaha
