Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Yes, do not rely on the AVR!!! It is usually a day or two behind, so if you want to know the true status of your case call and speak to an operator.

I called NVC this morning the lady asked me to call back next week! Yea right!

I know they have my file cos 4 different ppl confirmed this yesterday....I believe they manually have to scan it in.

I called NVC this morning the lady asked me to call back next week! Yea right!

Yup, I checked in 2-3 times a day from the approval date, until I got my case numbers. I would call them in the afternoon, the operators are there to answer questions, but the area that scans in the files probably got in a little while ago. If they have your file, you should get a case number later today.
