No Criminal Record Letter (K-1 to now I-485)

Hi All,

Our situation: Applied for the I-485, but the USCIS requested "No Criminal Record" letters by the end of this month, as my fingerprints were rejected twice. The evidence has to be submitted together, but I lived in Japan and HK in the past 5 years before I moved to America.

Our Congressman's office said to get letters from the Japan and China/HK Embassy in order to get an extension to the deadline. However, not only do we have a time issue, the Japan Embassy needs 3 months to provide the letter from Japan, but the HK Police will not send the "No Criminal Record" letter to us, only directly to the USCIS. How can we send everything together?

Not sure if anyone has had this issue.
