Get certified copies by the bank Versus by the notary

Hi Guys:

For the certified copies that we need(such as passport,birth cert. etc),is it acceptable to get certified by the bank or do those doc.s need to be notarized by the notary?

What are these being submitted for? Photocopies are usually OK except for the interview.

USCIS no longer routinely requires submission of original documents or "certified copies." Instead, ordinary legible photocopies of such documents (including naturalization certificates and alien registration cards) will be acceptable for initial filing and approval of petitions and applications.

I-864 used by NVC only requiers Photo copies of financial data, and if income is above the line, NO bank data needed, just (copies IRS returns, employer letter, copies of pay stubs)

NVC requires original documents for CR and IR processes.

Bank will not certify any document. Notary just verifies your signature on documents. You just need photocopy of documents with I-130 form.
