what did you all do today?

So the weather here this weekend was BEAUTIFUL!! just about 70 yesterday(20 celsius) and 65 today(about 15 I think in celsius, I'm still learning)

After such a horrid, snowy, very cabin fever filled winter...we had the BEST weekend so far!! We got out yesterday with the kids..( I have 3yo b/g twins, an 11 yo son and a 13yo son..I also have a 15yo daughter but she wasn't with us) we went to the zoo and saw a baby lion cub..it was so cute!! And today spent the day outside at the park with the kids...I swear I have a sunburn on my cheeks and nose.

It felt good to get out and enjoy the day with the extra sunlight! I wanted to do some much needed yard work but my yard is all muddy!!

I hope you all got out and enjoyed yourselves..(if the weather cooperated)

Well... we got some patio furniture to put out on our balcony and I watched religulous on OnDemand... annd then I cleaned a bit and that's pretty much it. Lazy weekend before my mom comes down... calm before the storm.

Worked out this morning; then I finally finished our US taxes this afternoon and since then have been reading this great book called Shoe Addicts Anonymous.... I can't put it down, started on Friday and nearly done, it's 320 pages... I guess soon I'll get around to making dinner. Today was rainy/dreary but yesterday was beautiful and warm so went for a long walk

Home visiting in Saskatoon. Temp wqas around -25C this mornign with windchill factored in, still went for a 40 min run!! Then spent like 5 hours on homework!! But now chilling with a cool Molson and just waiting for the next draw of the Brier to come on!! Sask is 0-2 and sucking as per norm,lol Go Martin Go!! Will actually be at the Brier this Wed afternoon!!

I went to church this morning, in January I became unemployed after working for a company for 9 yrs, so I have been alittle on the sad side. The sermon was outstanding and I felt like I could relate to it....when anyone is down, do not let your emotions take over you..instead rely on your Faith and know that you are a conquer. The pastor also read Psalms 139: 1-10, which is a very powerful message.

Yesterday afternoon, we went to see Watchmen, then after that went to the comic book store to buy the book and pick up a few of our subscriptions that we hadn't picked up since like Christmas. Then we went to Big Lots and put a big ol' cuddler reclincer chair on lay-away (they were out of stock ) then came home to eat my pork shoulder that had been cooking all day in the crock pot while we were out.

Today my friend came over while our hubbies are out D&Ding together, and we watched Nights in Rodanthe (*sob*). After she left, I raked the front yard for a while, then pulled weeds out of the front flower bed. Then the dogs and I played "box" out in the backyard for a while (i give them a cardboard box and they chase each other around with it until it's shredded, it's one of their favourite games) and then I came in and had something to eat.

Now I'm here, procrastinating. I really should be organizing my receipts to we can get our taxes filed.

All day I have been awaiting the new "keeping up with the kardashians" Yes I like trashy tv.

I don't care, I know Kim is ditzy but I think she is just gorgeous. My husband disagrees with me and this has led us in to many debates about his own sexuality. jk

I spent the day going through hubby's school papers.. he says he just wants to throw them out... I feel kind of bad he put so much time and effort into this school thing and know he just wants to throw it all away

he says the job he has know is and will be more stable then a HVAC (air conditioning ) job...

now I am going to make something for dinner.. I plan to be in bed early so I can get a few hours sleep before the hubster gets home...

I just got back from the U.S for a weekend visit! The visit was productive as I found my dream wedding gown and accessories! Had to pay sales tax at the border but ah well!! Very bad day to be driving as it was blowing snow, swirling snow, visibility sucked, -25 windchill and all!! uggh! Of course couldn't use cruise control so my right foot is sore! Too bad I couldn't see my fiance when I went down as it would have been a 15 hour drive.. but I got to see some friends!
