Lets hear it. I tried to pull out some stops, but I am always interested in hearing new ideas.

I made a photo collage of our "visa journey" all the photos from my visits (well, not all) all the misc. "evidence" (boarding passes etc.) surround a poem written for us by my son (I posted it here) and went skiing. Now I am waiting her to change clothes to go to a Woman's Day dinner party with several other Ukrainian/Russian/American couples.

NEVER for get Woman's Day!!!! Can be deadly. :)

I sent my wife 2 online greeting cards. I just had surgery Wednesday, so she was so good to go to the store awhile ago and buy some flowers. She gave them to me and then I told her to close her eyes and hold our her hands. I gave her the flowers and she was just as thrilled as if I had gotten them for her. I think I am not in hot water, but I really don't feel like getting out just yet.

Happy International Woman's Day to all of you wonderful brides. :dancing:

I think you may be right.

Yeah, get this! We go to the party, have dinner, then the women conspire and decide to take WOMEN's day literally, staged a mini-Russian Revolution and kicked all the men out and the horses we rode in on! How do you like that!? Good thing I am going back to pick her up because I think there is some vodka being consumed.

 Woman's day??

International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some countries like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, IWD is a national holiday. The first IWD was run in 1911.

My wife is out with some friends right now too. Usually when she comes home drunk from hanging out with those girls it's me who gets the presents!

Just for the record, I didn't do squat for IWD except take her out for a nice dinner. I'm tired of buying her flowers and hearing her complain about how cheap they are. She found some "nice" flowers a few weeks ago and was sure to show me what they looked like. I took note, agreed, and then filed that one in the "won't be buying those flowers as they're $40" category.

If I'm paying $40 for something it better either satisfy my hunger or one of my other needs. ........ Waiting on the "well, slim, if you'd buy her nice flowers I'm sure maybe she'd satisfy one of your other needs." Yep, you're probably right. But, why should I buy $40 flowers when I can buy $40 worth of vodka and be satisfied several times?

I got roses for her, a stuffed animal for her daughter, and candy for both. :)

Sadly the roses were losing their petals within minutes of being delivered.
