Twitter is lame. I think it would be a good idea if it were interesting people who were leading extraordinary lives who were chronicling their lives. But 99.99999% i've found are people just talking about boring, mundane #######. Meh. I gave it a shot, i'm out.

I haven't tried it yet, I'm scared I'll get addicted and the last thing I need is another web addiction. Plus I don't have one of those fancy dancy phones that people update their stuff from so it probably wouldn't work as well for me.

I don't think you're missing out..... unless you like getting mindless updates about the unimportant and mindless things that people are doing at work, at the market at home... blah. Just seems so superfluous.

I enjoy it. But then again I like to convince myself that people are really interested in what I have to say, even though they aren't. :P

It's a release.

Doesn't twitter limit you to 140 characters? I don't think there are many interesting things to say in that brief a space even if the person twittering IS leading a fascinating and interesting life. But I've not tried it so my anti-twitter opinion is based entirely on second hand twitter accounts.

It does limit you to 140 characters. It makes you think before you type. I even have a hard time with that. It's not interesting really.

It's basically like FB status updates all day every day.

I love how my husband tweets to his coworkers: "Hey guys where do you want to go for lunch today?"

Could you not ask them that out loud? They're sitting right there in front of you.

The future of less-speak.

At least if you are tweeting or texting, the recipient can't hear you squeezing one out. Unlike, say, people who talk on their cell phones while taking a #######! Funniest example of this was from a site called "overheard in New York" where apparently someone posted that he heard someone in the next stall propose to his girlfriend over the phone while taking a dump. I don't know if that's true or not.

Wow, that is just foul. I vented about it before about a friend who has an office mate who likes to talk to people while they are crapping. That is definitely a no-no. The toilet stall should be a fortress of solitude!!! No comments and no talking. :P

I remember when I worked at a factory in Canada my MALE boss came into the LADIES ROOM and went to stall I was in and started pushing a steel rod through the cracks of the stall asking me if I could weld it to another part.

I was like: "DUDE WHAT THE EFF!?"

This is pure speculation on my part, but I'm kind of thinking welding and pooping at the same time is not a stellar idea from a safety standpoint. Just saying.

And yes, the invasion of privacy there is pretty bad too.

It wasn't mean to be at the same time, I guess he had things to do and someone told him to go to the bathroom so he was trying to hand off this rod to me while I was in the bathroom so that I could weld it when I got out.

I mean he had NO shame at all. I wouldn't even call it perverted, he was just stupid.
