My fiance and my sister are becoming friends, and now my sister is starting to tell her about some of my more embarassing childhood moments. Oh dear god this will only get worse. I'm glad she's made a friend though :)

LOL I wish I could become friends with my SIL, but our age gap is large (she's 19) and she's an immature, spoiled brat. She is SO rude, mean and condescending to her parents and grandparents, has the worst attitude, and made her Mom cry at Easter lunch yesterday. Sometimes I just want to shake sense into her. She's also failing out of university which is costing her parents a fortune. The way she acts is more like a 13 year old not an almost adult.

That's too bad! My future-SIL is almost 18, but she is the sweetest girl. I love hanging out with her. Her parent's (my in-laws) are very strict with her, but she has grown up to be such a smart, grounded girl. I never thought we would ever be able to have anything in common, but we totally shop together (she makes me cooler, LOL) and we discuss her Unversity options and she's starting to confide in me. It took a long time, and my fiance is not close with her at all, but now that we talk more online and went to Florida together in September, we've totally hit it off. I'd say it took like 3+ years to finally have a good conversation with her, so maybe give it time.

Why do some people think that getting answers directly and constantly and very repeatedly from another person instead of finding information out on his/her own is better. I mean, I know I ask a lot of questions... but at least I ask them in the forum and don't bug anyone constantly in PMs. Oyyy....

Autumn - at least you can laugh about it.

JulyBride - PMs are a blessing and a curse. Just give bad advice, and no one will ask you for it in private.

:o

Yikes.

Yeah, but I can't. I'm such a sucker. I'm the teacher with a huge bark and no bite at all... I tell the kids NO late work... but as soon as they ask me if they can turn in their work late (and they tell me a good reason why), I ALWAYS let them. Heck, I'd even take the reason of how their dog ate their homework - because my dog actually did one time. Mind you, food had spilled on the paper and I tried to clean the paper off and left it sit out. The dog smelled the food and started licking then chomping on the piece of paper.

Oh, well. I digress... I just keep referring this person back to the forum and how I don't have all the answers and how there are so many more people here with information and insight to share... keep sharing links to help this person understand how VJ works... I think (at least I hope) this person sees now, the plethora of information available to someone starting the K1 journey and how it is practically impossible to submit something today and expect an answer within a couple of weeks. I SOOOO wish it worked that way.

Off to finish entering writing scores...

I had that a lot too. I'd get a lot of PMs all of the time asking me questions. If I had time I would answer, but I totally agree, the whole point of a forum is to ask in the forum!! Just take it as a compliment though, it means they think you have all the answers :)

I'm working on my birthday. My boss doesn't know it's my birthday. She's treating me like garbage. haha

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

My computer bites! Every morning when I turn it on, and click on Mozilla, it takes at least TEN minutes to open up my homepage. There's obviously something wrong with it, this morning ran virus scan but I don't know what it is, I'm not a computer person at all. I might have to have someone come take a look at it, one of those computer nerd companies that drive around. And it freezes often it's so sllooooowwwwwwwwwww
