I'm so glad I never had to deal with having to get that. I'm not a fan of it anyways. If you are getting a yearly pap smear- I don't see why Guardasil would even be needed.

Me too, I was too old for it thank goodness. But anyway it just got out of hand, the OP asked one simple question and it turned into an ethical debate.

Ugh that thread pissed me off yesterday too. I love a good debate as much as the next person, but that was not what the thread was supposed to be. Just answer the OP for crying out loud! Hmmm, maybe I was just pissy yesterday, come to think of it, because a thread in OT annoyed me too :)

Yeah, and even if it just turned in to a debate i'm good with that. It's the fear mongering and the you are oh so stupid (implied) comments that tick me off.

Agreed, its one thing to express why you chose, didnt choose to get the shot, or how you are trying to get around it. telling people to suck it up isnt nice at all. It doesnt help with the decision they are making, though explaining why/how you did what you did might have more wieght to it. I find its like that on a lot of posts on VJ though, its all about how you approach the topic. You can say it in a million different ways, but only one that feels informative and not attacking is actually going to be taken in the right context.

Yeah, it just really bothered me that many people were not responding to the OP's actual question and instead seeming to try to chastise or scare him into having the vaccine. The thread felt very disrespectful to me, which makes my head spin when it is here in our lovely Canadian forum. I could have dealt with it easier if it were in OT :)

On a lighter note, can we talk about the fact that I am stressing over the fact that my AP situation will likely not allow me to visit my hairdresser and get my hair highlighted for the entire summer? HAHA!

My fiance will have to walk around with a new bride and her major roots! I hate having to source out a new hairdresser, like seriously, how do you know they are not good, until they have ##### up your hair!!!!! I already tried a few places in PA close to where we will be living, and lets just say that a year later, i'm still trying to grow out the mess!!!!

Can you tell where my priorities are? lol!

LOL Poprocks! I know exactly what you mean. I hate having to find a new hairdresser whenever I move. Somehow I lucked out and found a great hairdresser here, but it was a leap of faith. I walked into the salon and she was available so I took a chance. It doesn't always work out that way (once I went for some layers and walked out with an honest to god early 80's redneck mullet  ).

You need to choose your hairdresser like you'd choose a babysitter. Seriously walk in and talk to them and get to know your stylist.

Moving to Philly, my friend is a stylist in the city at a top notch salon, I'll ask her for some names for you. It's all about finding someone you're comfortable with and shopping around. :)

Hey Nevada do they do waxing at your friend's salon? I've yet to find a good wax place that's not too expensive either. In Oakville it was 40 bucks for the type of wax named after a south american country
