the only thing that works when I get a headache is advil extra strength liquid gels .. those work really quick

For me it's Relpax coupled with Ultracet.

Great I'm locked IN my apartment and I am talking to my son through the mail box!

This is great! LOL

Did your son record it? I would have. :D

Yeah, me too. Those are great.

How in the world does that happen?!:lol:

Yay Mike came home and we both turned the knob SUPER hard and got the door open. :D

Then my son decides that because of the fifteen minutes standing outside of the door, that it was his WORST DAY OF HIS ENTIRE LIFE!!!

Drama queen much.

 Well, then he's had a pretty good life so far! You should keep a worst day diary for him so he can see that no matter how bad things are, it can always get worse.

I have no idea! When I came home my key kind of jammed but I got in fine. I guess the door knob just jammed... you couldn't even turn it. I needed Mike's man muscle to get it open and even then I had to help. :P

Donne moi une poptart!

I hate moving. I hate everything about it. Not to mention I am a total klutz and slam my fingers in doors, stub my toes, drop things on myself.

Well, we told the landlord we were moving last week. And of course, Chris being the eternal boy-scout he is, tells the landlady the we're in the process of moving and the house will be empty shortly, and once we've cleaned etc we'd be happy to show the house for her since she lives over on Maui. I gave him a total glare at that point because its not like we owe her any favors.

So we get home at 1am on Friday, and there are two messages on the phone. One from the landlord and another from some stranger. The landlord says, someone is interested in seeing the house, I gave them the house address and your number. The other message is from the would-be tenant saying, I'm just outside your house, but you're not home. I'd like to come inside to see it. Yeah -seriously.

At 10:30pm on Saturday, we've just dropped off the last load at the other house and the cell phone rings. Its the would-be tenant asking to see the house. Chris tells her that we're 1 hour and a half away, so tonight is no good. She asks to see the house on Sunday. Chris tells her politely that we have the u-haul only until Monday, and we need to be moving stuff and do not have time to show her around the house. She basically yells at him that the landlady said it was okay and she wants to see the house asap. He tells her Tuesday is the earliest she can do it. And she hangs up the phone.

So then today, I get a call from our landlady saying, we're not accommodating her prospective tenant, and could we just leave a key for her today so she can look around the house. I told the landlady to take a jump in the lake, I'm not having someone in our house we don't know, while we're away.

So she adds, that since we're planning on being out early, that would work out well for this lady, since she'd like to move in asap. I guess she's 9 months preggers and needs a place to live. I told our landlord that she cashed this months cheque and we're here to the end of the month. If she wants us out sooner, she can pay us to leave.

I don't know why my husband is always so nice to her.

I'm like that too. I really despise moving and you always have more ####### than you originally thought. I'm spastic 365 days of the year and it doesn't rely on moving, either. :P

I had a landlord once that tried to pull that ####### on me. I was paid up until May 31st even though I was planning to leave mid-April when my exams were over. Then I'm reading the paper, and see my apartment advertised available as of May 1st!!

So my roommate and I call him and we are like, "Why are you advertising our rooms available as of May 1st when we are paid up until the 31st?"

And he said he never advertised our apartment! And we are like, "we are looking at the paper right now and our address and YOUR phone number is on it."

He refused to acknowledge it and we were like, "ok, well we will be here until the end of the month..."

A week later we get a knock at the door and there he is with potential tenants. I'm like, "what are you doing?" and he tells me that he is showing the people the apartment for May 1st. I'm like, "weve been over this already..."

He refused to give us our money back so my roommate, to spite him, stayed until the middle of May so he couldn't move any one else in. The nerve, though!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Holy ####### on the landlord stories! :o

True that. He tried to charge us for damage that was there BEFORE we even moved in.

Of course you can vent, Estadia! If you want to be placed on the Do Not Call registry for (5) years call 1-888-382-1222. You have to call from the cell # that you want to block in order for it to work. Or you can go to donotcall.gov to register online. It really works!

Ooops! Update! The website says they've amended the act so that you do not have to re-register every 5 years. It's now permanent!

We were JUST talking about this yesterday with my family!! We are getting those warranty calls too! We aren't sure what to do to get rid of them as we have already put our numbers on the do not call list!

My brother in law has started to screw with them by saying stuff like,

"I have a 1999 Polaris snowmobile...can i get insurance for that?"

And then they just hang up.

Ugh. How annoying. I haven't been receiving those calls but before I signed up for the registry I kept getting calls on my cellphone. I just blocked their numbers and haven't had a problem since. Here's another website with some handy-dandy tips: Stop Junk Mail, Email, and Phonecalls
